Is there any Boston Legal characters that are generally disliked by the majority of fans? There doesn't seem to be on this board like there is on other ones, so thats why I am asking...

In the 2009-2010 bring back Shirley Schmidt and call it Schmidt and Associates. Shirley splits from Crane,Pool and Schmidt because she finally has enough of Denny and Alan's schenegians. She brings Eleanor(Camrmyn Manheim) on an associate and also she brings in Michelle Schmidt-Rogers,her daugther who is trial lawyer in as an associate(played by Mario Bello). I recently gave this a try - heard it was good and got the first two seasons on DVD. The first season was good. Funny, entertaining, clever and a little off the wall. I have just watched the first disc (4 episodes) of series 2 and OH MY GOD!! What the hell happened? Monica Potter is gone with no explanation, only one measly guest apparance in a meeting scene. As I watch episode 4 ...

I love Alan Shore on Boston Legal! He's an amazing character who in my opinion deserves to find someone he truly cares about. Does anyone think he'll find a woman he truly loves before the show is ended?

I forgot to mention "Schmidt Happens" as one of my favorites. Alan and Shirley exchanging barbs in the men's bathroom was some of the show's best writing in my opinion. This aggression will not stand, man.

My ranking would probably be... 1. Season 3 2. Season 2 (the one-two punch of this and season 3 made me truly fall in love with this show) 3. Season 1 4. Season 4 (I wouldn't call it bad, but it felt really uneven compared to the other seasons, which were generally smoother...) "Let her go!" "A very poor choice of words..."
