its russian, he's actually saying "skol'ko" (сколько). it means "how much?" he's got a bit of an accent in russian. first he says "how much?" then she says "five rubles" and then he says "how much?" again, then she says "four" and he buys the rabbit.
skooka (скука) on the other hand means "a bore" or something boring.
