This sounds like something written by an IBM employee with a bias. From what I have seen DOORS change integration leaves a lot to be desired and is to expensive, to hard to implement and not well supported. In another words you pay through your nose to get any support from IBM to get DOORS Change Integration to run.

1.Can I configure clearquest such that it will send me an email everytime a new defect is opened that meets criteria that I have defined in a query? 2.Can I set up clearquest such that it will send(email) me the results of a query at a particular time during the day? Please let me know the answers as it is essential in my project. Thanks in Advance.

clearquest email configuration
Published (2009-11-25 04:27:00)
Hello, 1) Yes, ClearQuest can do that right out of the box. There is a module available on the IBM Education Assistant covering Email Notification. 2) ClearQuest cannot do this out of the box, but you could use the ClearQuest API and then run some sort of scheduled task to send notifications based on whatever criteria you define. -Christian

You should use DXL Layout Columns for this, since you can create them by script "on-the-fly" if neccessary, even if you module is opened for read. You will achieve the same results as with the temporary attributes (if your goal is to export them). The following code shows you how to insert a bunch of DXL columns: void createColumn (string whichValue) { string pattern = "string val = obj.\"TestMethod\"; int...

Do Probes Do More Than Probe?

Hi Ed, From my understanding of the Probes, while they are used as part of the adaptive testing process, if they find a vulnerability, we include them in the security report. -B

I am pretty sure there is no way to really "hook" link creation, since this function is built in the module editor and is not controllable by dxl. I am also not aware of any way to determine link start and link end. This makes creating a custom link dialog quite hard.
However you can could disable/replace the standard link creation menu and use a drag/drop trigger to prevent the ...

I'm just looking for resolution of another problem in ISA Workbench, but I just found probable resolution for this one..
At site http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3455& uid=swg21404341 called Announcing IBM Support Assistant V4.1.1 (readme) is this solution:
In rare cases the IBM Support Assistant Workbench does not restart after updating to V4.1.1, if you experience ...

ClearCase is looking for the VOB directory, and it seems that it cannot be found:
"/net/hostname.ibm.com/ABC/data/CC/sandbox/sndbx_ vobstore/sandbox_cvob.vbs"
try to "ls" and check why this directory is invisible.
Also, it seems that you are using automounter (see the "/net" directory). Check if it's well-configured.
My two cents...

Hello,
if the CqWeb server is running on Windows, and if Excel is installed, the hook code you posted will still function properly (all hooks in CqWeb are running on the server).
If this is not an option I am afraid you have to code the IRR function yourself.
Regards,

Hello Jay,
this could happen if the version of the CQ Eclipse client plugins is not in sync with the ClearQuest core.
From the Windows client, or from the Maintenance tool check the Help->About for the current version, and compare it with the version displayed by the ClearQuest client. A plugin upgrade might fix it:

Hello,
assuming unlimited database space, the only limit is your patience: assuming 1 hours for 50Mb file, a 500Gb should take 10 hours.
I am not sure, but you might also hit one of the ClearQuest timeouts (CQ Session timeout, HTTP timeout).
If you have to work with large files you might consider to upload them to a FTP server, and store in the ClearQuest record the URL.

If you are using DOORS, likely so from this post, the integration from DOORS to Change is unbeatable - see this link for an 8 minute auto demo that shows off the best parts of Change:
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/offers/lp/demos /summary/r-rationalsynergy.html.
If you must adopt Chng Mgmt, then the combination of these two products will be first rate.

Would the Copy Baseline work for you? Open the module that contains the baseline you want to make a copy of. Choose "File->Baseline->Copy..." and in the dialog choose the baseline you want to copy. This will create a new module with the information from the baseline. Note that the IDs will be different from the original.

Just a few more things to add.
I have recently moved the doc spec, template and data schema files to another network drive. Before that the generation has been worked fine. But I did change all the relevant setting to point the template, stylesheet,.. to the new path.
On other note, our DOORS server is version 9.1 and on my computer I got DOORS client 9.2 and RPE 1.1 where I run...
