One we use to do to the new tacker's at the shipyard was, We would pump them up about bending Lh welding rods behind their neck.. We would tell them our buddy has the record of bending about 15 rods,, It had to be LH rods.. They would get all pumped up and say ******* I can bend more then that !!!! OK then let's see you break the record.. They would shoot for about 20 rods,, Now you have to grab each end with one of your hands, Then...

I was a weld tru primer fanatic until my painter swore Rust-Oleum cold galvanizing compound was better and much cheaper....Well, I tried it and it works very well....Not only can you weld through it but you can paint the inside of rockers (for instance) before welding them together.I was impressed and use it at the shop all the time now.Its runs about 5.00 a can....I sprayed a scrape piece of unprimed metal and left it outside it didnt...

Published (2009-11-06 18:51:00)
After you warm up the engine, turn your heater on high temp and feel both heater hoses. If thier both hot, you have flow through the heater core. That would indicate a door control problem in the heater box. If one is hot and the other cool, you have a blocked core or a flow problem. You've already checked the core and it was OK, so you need to look at flow. Check for an external valve somewhere on one of the heater hoses just before the...

An early to mid 90s jeep cherokee would be something good for what you're planning to do. The stock 4.0 is a very reliable motor with plenty of power. As for rear ends, if you feel need changed, half ton ford axels work good. Jeep suspentions are very flexible making them a good trail rig. Ifyou need more flex sway bar disconnects are very usable you will gain a lot of flex. Just add a lift, ...

Running a 6-71 on a 468 at 9% under-driven you are making absolutely no boost. You need to run 1:1 just to make 2 pounds. In my opinion, a 6-71 is too small for a BBC. To make any appreciable boost you're going to have to over drive the blower by at least 10% (5 pounds). The faster you spin the blower, the more heat you add to the charge. Heat lowers your detonation margin.
Also, the ...

That's because Campbell Hausfled lies about compressor performance. I have serious doubts about that compressor producing those numbers.

colorsanding and buffing is normally next, considering it has imperfections you want to remove, you have enough material applied to do so, it can be buffed, and has cured long enough to do so.
You didn't say what paint you used, but since you said you applied a clearcoat, I am assuming its a base clear urethane. Most the buffing can be started the next day after painting, depending on the ...
