Fuse loose? ============================== i had a elc problem that was driving nuts, what it ended up being was a loose fuse, for what ever reason one side of the fuse block on one fuse got hot and corroded and became loose from the heat and spread just enough to lose contact now and again, you couldn't tell it from looking at it untill it was pulled and felt funny coming out, a new fuse block and a LOT of messing around finally cure it.

Electrial Connections

Yep, been using these on some things for several years now. They work great and hold much better than crimp connections. I don't like the taps... although they aren't as hard on the wire as a scotch-lok, they still stress the wire and leave a point for corrosion. The regular barrel locks are great.

Just received the lowers, Rick. Thanks. I am going to attempt to make some brackets. If I can't get it right, I'll just buy them from MS. Thanks again and Merry Christmas. Eric _________________ 2001 VLX Riding on the Darkside

Chris has one approach to gettng back into riding.
I prefer another approach.
Go out, buy yourself the biggest, meanest bike you can find. Screw sensibility, buy the bike that you fantasized about when you were alone in bed, hell you only live once. If it comes in a 5000 cc version, buy it!! Get yourself a matching doo-rag, some shiny new leathers... don't worry about the thick ...

The absolute best tool is the stock honda spark plug tool. It will fit w/o a problem. If you dont have it, you can order it from bikebandit.com, etc.
I understand, that a thin wall socket may work also.

If you look at the chrome frame rail on the ACE it has an arc and the Aero's is straight. The ACE has three bolts, the Aero 2, that is the design of the sub frame that supports the fender, doubt very much the fenders are interchangeable.

The may be making some in India for that market, but I think all Honda bikes, including the Goldwing are being made in Japan now.

No ride today DW family is coming over to eat. And tomorrow with the rain I hope to do the tail lights. So it looks like Monday before I get to ride.
For Christmas the girls gave me a certificate to get off my butt and go buy a new pair of boots. The DW got the kitchen knifes she wanted. Santa was good to the household.

How good is your battery ?
Weak batteries do not have the voltage to insure good sparks while supplying power to the starter motor.
Use a low voltage charger to fully charge the battery (<2 amp charging rate for 10 hrs)
Check all connections from the battery to the starter motor and to the ignition.
Check all ground connections for the battery and for the engine....

I have had to replace my chainsaw and leaf blower because of carb problems. I have since stopped using fuel mixed with ethanol in everything including my truck and my bike. They have never run better.

As long as the reservior has never run dry you are probably in good shape. As long as the pickup hose in the recovery tank never sucked air you should be good.
To confirm it, on a cool engine, remove the neck cover panel and and open the radiator cap to see if the radiator neck is full to the top. I would only do that if you have the overtemp light come on.

If you bought regular motorcycle plugs from the dealer they should already be gaped to the correct gap, other wise you have to buy a gap gauge from an auto supply store and find out what size gap is required and reset them, I'm thinking the gap size is 35 I haven't gaped mine as they seem to be just fine from the dealer........ _________________...
