954RR Marchesini Wheels
Published (2009-11-06 15:23:00)
I've had good luck thus far with hard to find parts from our members so I figure I'll try it again!!! I'm looking for a CLEAN set of black marchesini wheels for my 2003 CBR 954RR. I can get a brand new set shipped to me for $2000 but I'd have to wait 10 - 12 weeks!!! If anyone has a set they are willing to part with that are not destroyed, dinged up, chipped all over the place or scratched up I'd be very interested in...

Funny you post about this. I had a Joe Rocket jacket that I sold on craigslist last year for $75 that would have matched your bike. Try looking on Ebay for something similar. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-...R1000RR040. jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-...R1000RR041. jpg

You can order aftermarket seats such as corbin. They make replacement rider
and pillion seats. Also, the first couple weeks I had my bike my ass killed
me on anything more than 45 minutes but now 500 miles in a day with stops
only for gas don't bother me. So you may just want to give it a little more
saddle time to get used to it....don't think there is really any cure for
the pillion tho

I shouldn't worry.. I only ever see my temperature gauge go up when I'm sat
in traffic on a hot summers day.. The rest of the time it barely moves..

I own a couple of much older Ducs. I think hte RC maintanance is much less than the Duc. That may or may not be a big deal to you. I learned a long time ago how to adjust Desmo valves. No big deal to me. I think the duc is probably the better track bike stock. I have an 03 SP2 track bike, far from stock. Makes close to 140hp at the rear wheel. the RC can be made into a fine track day ...

Also looks like I'm a troll - sorry for the first post being a favor, but I've been on here a while, just haven't been able to contribute anything yet, haha!
If you have the time, great! If you guys don't want to help out the (apparent) random guy, I can totally understand.
Just so you guys know, I ride a CBR 1000RR and she's a rider too! http://i317.photobucket.com/albums/m...0Stuff/...

That many does make it sound like it may be overcharging. Put a voltmeter
over the battery and run the bike around 4-5,000 rpm steady. Voltage should
not be over 15.5v I think.

+1. Those guys are pros and loose it bad in a controlled environment. Amateurs racing, stunting, and hanging it out in chaotic conditions is just asking for trouble.

Either get a bike and lower it to a desired height or just get used to it.
I have a couple friends in that height range that ride stock height bikes.
Just takes some getting used to.

If you are going to fit a turbo then the bike will only be any use in a
straight line.... why not go for noss instead they recon its easier to fit.
