Since the bottom is fiberglass, you can repair it with a fiberglass patch. You can buy this at an
auto parts store. They sell all kinds of stuff to do this but just get the patch kit. I don;t recall if it comes with hardener but you can buy that as well. ( not very expensive) Make sure to follow instructions and it will work for you. You will also need some sandpaper, but since the repair will be...

I just had it done in my bathroom by a reputable plumber and he charged $60. Last winter I had the local crooks (supposedly plumbers in a town nearby) repair a kitchen pipe and they charged me $300 for labor and parts and didnt do the job correctly and it started leaking again. Thank God my son came home for a visit and fixed it.
Take my advice and get the estimate before they start working....
