Try turning the sharpness down to zero. Most HDTVs should be set to zero, except Panasonic models made from 2008 to present use 50 as the neutralspelling position/setting.

With all the LCD manufacturers adding these motion enhancement technologies I'm not surprised, these LCDs with all these enhancements repeat serveral frames per second to help make LCDs look smoother. In the end they hurt gamers, and no there's no way to turn of 120Hz and 240Hz off either. This is why when I see a post for someone wanting opinions for a gaming LCD HDTV I don't bother posting at all. I don't see LCD HDTVs...

Video of it up and running, looks good though I think they could optimize the speed of it all a little bit. Otherwise looks very comparable to the 360 version. Heads up.. This sale is far from secret.. Dude, as I stated in a very simular post earlier today.... If you can get your hands on 1 of these for $788, DO NOT THINK TWICE. Amazing deal no question and a no brainer. But they will be GONE very quickly. So act fast, wait in line or do what you got to do. But chances will be pretty slim on getting 1 I think. But give it a go. The 46'' Sharp Aquos they are offering for $698 (I think) is...

You would also need a center channel speaker. The Onkyo HT-S6200 is highly regarded and right in your price range - http://www.onkyousa.com/model.cfm?m=...ss=Systems&p=i and you would have enough left over to get a bd player.

Well considering that you can get the HD DVD player for that cheap and most HD DVD movie titles only cost about $5.00 each it is a good start for the titles released already, but sooner or later you will want to add BD for the newer releases and future releases. Also consider you will likely want to buy a back up HD DVD player IF you buy a lot of titles on HD DVD so they can still be played down...

I wouldn't use a plasma display as a computer monitor for more than about 10-15% of the total usage of the display per day. Just like CRT monitors, plasmas can get burn-in but it is as a computer monitor where they would be most likely to get that burn-in now. For most regular TV/DVD/Gaming uses where the screens changes frequently there is much less chance of getting burn-in, but the menu bars ...

Good link. That is with having a static image for 8 hours straight too and with I believe 2007 or 2008 models. Each year they seem to be getting better with this as well.

I own 1DLP, 2 LCDs & 1 Panasonic plasma bought in that order and my plasma is the best for movies and gaming. I would look at the Panasonic P46S1 or if you can get a sale in your budget the P50S1. Right now the P50S1 is selling for $999.99 at Sears I believe but I suspect a little bettre pricing asa we get closer to Christmas but if you can get one for under $900.00 that would be a very good ...

To myselfnjit,
Somewhat of a atypical TVFool report in that your choices are not great.
Basically any cheap roof mounted combo VHF/UHF antenna pointed due east will get you those close in ABC, CBS, Fox, and PBS networks and with a crack at the next 2 low power stations by adding a pre-amp.
But its going to probably take a much more complex set up to pull in that channel 18 ...

The V10 has a more user tweakable picture settings to get that perfect picture and 96Hz processing for Blu-rays recorded at 24 frames per second! A lot of people find the G10s 48Hz processing causes film flicker, but then choose the 60Hz setting with 3:2 pulldown. I'm not saying that the G10 isn't a great plasma, just saying the V10 is better.
Whenever you take film recorded at 24fps and ...

You're right... the PC gaming elite aren't too thrilled about it, neither is the competitive PC gaming community. Not being able to host your own dedicated server just kills it... raising the price on it is just adding insult on top of injury.

No, a low noise pre-amp only allows a cleaner signal to come through the amp without affecting it. It won't make your signal stronger at all.
Back to your car analogy. A 0.5 micron oil filter vs. a 3 micron oil filter. Nobody would tell you that the 0.5 lets less dirt through, they would assume that you could figure that much out.
