Wow, the Antimyeloperoxidase antibodies threw me. Talk about looking for Zebras... As far as I can tell they're an antibody for a type of kidney diseae and vasculitis. No idea why he's looking there with your symptoms... Most of that thyroid panel is next to useless. Best to keep it simple with free T3, free T4 and the antibody tests. He did do both antibodies so that's good but you still need a free T3. And you should also test...

Is this a bravado, or do you think he is being serious? He's so very obsessed about this issue that one begins to wonder that there may be some truth in what he is telling about your grandfather. Anyway, since you are not an only child and have other siblings, I think this should be a communal decision (the whole community of your mother's children, so to say) about where to lay your mother's ashes. You must not carry this...

a true narcississt isn't introspective enough to care! honestly.....a true narcississt isn't going to sit there and worry about being a narcississt.....they will just go on with life looking for their next source of narcississt supply and not give it a 2nd thought. Do you think a bee worrys about who they're going to sting? no they just sting.....because that's what bee's do do you think a rabid dog contemplates who...

All good things come to an end ... or at least temporary bump. Mom and Dad have been in such a great place for the last month or so. Dad has been wobbly and sleeping more but in good humor otherwise and Mom has actually been laughing, smiling, and just being cute. I have a wedding to attend tomorrow. The only fall/winter dress I own that fits is black and I refuse to wear black to a wedding. So I was out shopping for a dress. Actually in the...

The reason they say that you have a greater chance of getting HIV is because herpes is open lesions so if someone with HIV is with you and your having an outbreak external or internal and there is fluid exchange because you have herpes your at a greater risk of getting it then someone that does not. HSV will not just magically turn into HIV lol I was worried about that too when I first found out.. I hope that made sense.

Hi fightmother. The doctor said heel weight bearing from the beginning. Of course, that wasn't in the cards at the beginning because my foot was sore. Now I can walk on the heel no problem. I went out on Sunday and used one crutch because we have snow here in the BC Peace right now. I figured I needed a bit of support. I do not need crutches in the house. The doctor only put a dressing, some padding and a tensor bandage on it. It is only...

I am a pretty strong person, having MS has made me that way. I tend to look at each day as a good day, unless Im bed bound, which can happen on occasion. I also work with Hospice patients- that being said, nothing is unmanageable in my world!! I was awake for the procedure...they put me in there because they also told me that if it didnt work, they would be taking me to the OR; however, they did it in the outpatient room, in a sort of mini OR-...

I am doing fine - have a bad bout of laryngitis at the moment and have had no voice for nearly two weeks(the last thing you need as a teacher) and it is the second virus I have had this year. The last was a mild cold several weeks ago. As these are the first viruses I have had for 4 years (I have a great immune system I think) I am putting it down to the stress my body (and mind) have been going ...

Jim,
I'm so sorry to hear about the problems you are having. Rsd isn't bad enough, let alone having doctors that won't listen to you,or just write you off like your pain doesn't matter.
Most of the time you can look online for different doctors including rsd specialists in your area. You can always do a consult to see if that doctor is a right fit for YOU and is willing to listen and help ...

I chose my first endo from the Top Docs list because of a couple of good reviews she had gotten there. To her credit, she gave me the diagnosis I was seeking, but her method of treatment didn't work at all for me. I then chose a doc from my insurer provider list from whom I got optimal treatment. He was right there under my nose, only 7 miles from my house. I've read the experiences of a ...

So if I'm understanding correctly, your girlfriend has a male friend, or male friends, who she holds hands with, kisses, shares beds with, etc.?
Well, I may be old fashioned, but none of this is appropriate when you are in a monogous, exlusive relationship with someone. Especially sharing a bed. The guy should let her have the bed and he should go sleep on the couch or floor or something. ...

I don't know if it's related, it might be medication related, perhaps. Is there any chance you might have Type II diabetes? This can be common with diabetics.

Blocks can be tricky. In some people it can take a couple of days to notice any changes and some times it can take a couple blocks to really know what is going on.
When I had my blocks done the first one worked well. I didn't notice anything different till the next day,it did take some of the pain away but not a whole lot. I then had my second,it didn't do anything and the third block I had ...

It's just so amazing that you would post this question. Just this afternoon, while doing a mindless task, I was pondering "when do you just give up and accept running with life alone".
It's not quite the same concept because I'm not trying to avoid the heartbreak that comes with a failed relationship. I completely understand that. But I'm getting pretty long in the tooth to be investing ...

I'm not sure what is going on with your health here but I can offer a list of tests you can underdo to try to narrow things down. A lot of your symptoms sound adrenal to me, the dry skin, sleep issues, palps, sensitivity to light, dizzyness.
I don't know if this is related to what you are going through or not but
I find I feel better in certain regions of the country than others but I ...

If they're in a facility - as the people there, they're full of ideas
if the person is female and home and early to mid stage - a gift certificate to get their hair and nails done is great if they can still be taken out. If they are housebond, you may be able to ask a local beauty shop if they come to the home and would possibly do it there.
if the person is male and can go out -- a ...

I am now 3 days post surgery. I read a lot of these boards before I went in and am glad to report I really am feeling pretty good. I have a touch of dizziness only when i turn my head too fast or when I get up. I did not have any pain or nausea at all. My worst side affect has been the constant pulse i hear in my ear. I wonder if anyone has a comment to this, I called my dr. to make my 2 week ...
