Ask if the endo will also test your free T3 and the antibody tests, TPO and TG. I'd also ask to have your vitamin D, B12 and ferritin checked. Unfortunately the other thyroid tests you had done aren't all that great and you will hopefully monitor your treatment with free T3 and free T4, as that's the best (along with your symptoms). See if the endo has heard about saliva cortisol testing for adrenal fatigue, it's by far the...

Oh my gosh yes! It's been about 38 years since i had mine out (I was 26 at the time) and I have had the flu once, NO strep throat, NO ear infections and only 2 sinus infections since then....and of course no tonsillitis - all of which I had all the time. I had an ear infection, sinus infection and tonsillitis all at one time when we decided to take them out. It took 3 months to get me well enough to have the surgery. I do not miss them!

Great idea Jags. Wish my pharmacist had the ability to do that when Mom and Dad were at home. Instead we just used the weekly reminder containers that had slots for morning, noon, supper, and evening. Whoever was there on the weekend refilled them for the next week before they left. Even at that there were occasionally medication problems.... and meds used as needed were OUT. The medication problem was only truly solved when they went into...

For many reasons triggers , not taking meds, lack of sleep, trauma. you can go into physcosis and it is a lot like schitzophenia. this is part of BP1 for many people. i've been though it a few times. I had to go to pdoc to get a med ajustment. Guilt after and during is common , they will find something to obsess about. bottom line needs back on meds, just an opinion. will he go to doc?

AND there was an alligations from his ex that he did the same to her and his excuse was that he didn't do it! Always say's he didn't do and will die before he would admit it! I've got many of the signs and symptoms of RA but never tested postitive for the antibodies. My rheumatologist thinks I may have an early but still seronegative RA due to the presence of synovitis in my MCP joints. My mother has RA and is in very bad shape with it now.
I also have not tested positive for any of the thyroid antibodies so, while I've got many hallmarks of several ...

Randy,
Thanks for sharing and firing up another PV thread. Like you I know no one else directly with out wonderful blood experience, but these threads make it a little more bearable. (Although I'll say, currently it sounds like I have a " lite" version of PV compared to everyone here) I'm 32, and just got back from another phlebotomy. I have one scheduled every other week for the next ten...

if you are speaking of a 3 day Solu-Medrol infusion, thats very common. It can be 3 days or 5 days....SoluMedrol is a form of Prendisone...its used actually for nerve inflamation; although it will calm down the muscles, too.
Steroids, which is what solu-medrol are, shrink inflamation in the body....when you are having an attack or relapse, and everything starts to be inflammed, all kinds of ...

You will need to check with the transplant staff, but it is usually diabetes, and not hypoglycemia that is the stumbling block to donation.
I wish you both the best of luck.

Switch to IM injections. I greatly prefer that method of delivery. 100mg/wk testosterone enanthate keeps things pretty level for me but I do fluctuate somewhat as you do with my desire. It's not nearly as bad as it was when I used the gels.

Ask to have FT4, FT3 and thyroid antibodies checked. Usually a TSH on the low end of the range would indicate HyperT but without those free T's it's hard to be sure.

Sounds like both you and your mom are hurting. Try to imagine what it feels like to have one of your children telling you what you can and cannot do especially when the advice isn't welcomed, it's got to hurt so while I understand what it's like to be going through this, try to understand your mom needs time to adjust and realize that she cannot do what she use to do. She needs time to accept ...

I think a lot of women experience this, especially in their first romantic relationships. The hormones that rage, the oxytocin and the endorphins can make you go overboard. Plus, the fairy tales we're sold as little girls don't help. Beauty and the Beast, if our love is pure and true and strong enough, it can turn a beast of a man into the prince we want and need him to be. Cinderella, we aren't ...

I have asthma and my worst allergy is to dogs. So, we figured that poodles wouldn't be too bad for allergies, so for the post 30 years we've had at least one poodle in our home. During that time, I fought all kinds of health problems, not just my asthma.
We just put our last poodle pet to sleep. We are dog free in our home, and I am nearing age 70. A lot of my health problems have ...

<<<gentle hugs>>>. You're not alone in this, one of the things I've learned is that there are many who are taking similar journeys. For many of us, depression and fibro seem to go hand and hand. It's one of the things that make us doubt ourselves. We just want the pain to stop, the pain of our bodies but also the pain of our souls.
You're in a more difficult position because you can't take...

Based on the latest test results plus the fact that you have no hyper symptoms - as stated in your previous posts - you have no thyroid problem. Many people would find those results perfectly fine for them. Probably you, too.
