Have you deleted and re-added the printer in the print queue? Let's try that: - Sys Prefs, Print & Fax - Select the printer in question and click the minus sign at the bottom of the list - Select the plus sign and re-add it. If this does not work, do the same thing, only instead of the second step, right (control) click the print queue area and select Reset Printing System.

Hi, take a look at the offerings from FrozenCPU . I personally use a Scythe and find that it quietly cools my PC. It can ramp up some volume when I feel like overclocking. The OCZ vendetta also looks like a good candidate. check the specs to make sure that it would fit in your PC case with enough clearance. regards, erico

Do you still have the Recovery partition? If so, use Disk Management to set it as Active. http://www.theeldergeek.com/disk_management.htm 1. Right-click on the "HP Recovery" partition and select "Mark as Active Partition." 2. When the warning prompt appears, select "Yes" - Reboot the notebook and it will automatically boot into the Recovery Manager (without...

New web interfaces become larger and display many things, I am guessing the deault is set to "shink to fit page" when printing, this will print the whole page on paper but fonts will be small. You can confirm this by "print preview" instead of "print", and see if it says "Shink to Fit", change this to "100%" and you will get the original size back. -...

Well, at least they're willing to ship you a new one, and aren't absolving themselves of all blame. I'm finding this super frustrating. People who receive their kits say they don't work. There seems to be no order as to who gets their kit first, and the rest of us just sit here in limbo.

I have the exact same issue and I just purchased the HP OJ Wireless 8500. I can print but not scan. I'm trying to install the Scan Drivers from the CD-ROM that came with the printer but that failed. I tried EVERY step outlined on the HP site for scanning and still get the "No Scan Options." I hope this gets resolved quickly. My 5610 that I "traded" to get the $50 rebate was able to scan...

Which sound driver did you use? Did you try vista sound driver? I can not confirm your sound chip since the support page provide conexant and realtek drivers. If it was Realtek, have you tried this

In general it should work, however, online activation wont work. You need to call MS to activate it.

Same here. When I asked the question on the Contact HP page, I got no response. Why do we get the cut down screen, when you can't even buy it with that screen in the US? Message Edited by jdunkerley on 11-03-2009 02:36 AM

I bought a E9150t with 8Gb , 1Tb HDD , 1Gb ATI HD4650 card and TV tuner card around the same time as you. I had been having lockups and freezes since the days I received my PC. I spent 10 days updating all the drivers and reading forums to find a solution but nothing helped. Finally I called HP support and they were just blindly trying to make me do some regular stuff which they always ...

YOU have to WAIT as they are totally inept at filling orders. SOME apologists here in this forum have found this as totally acceptable that we who are DUE the WIN 7 upgrade should just shut up and wait ...UNTIL SOMETIME MIDDLE or LATE NOVEMBER . Yeah, they, ARVATO sent me an e-mail SAYING THAT they would be shipping my upgrade ON or JUST AFTER the 22nd...NOW it maybe by the time ...

I too am waiting to hear the initial reports on 9280 / 9290 - but it may be a while before some reviews show up., as these are both new models and have been out just about a week or so now. The thing to watch out for is the Mobo brand and type - if its the same as was used in the previous series (and is riddled with problems) or has been replaced with a different one - fingers ...

Same boat as you. I have totally switched my entire family (5 laptops) plus countless friends and coworkers to HP over the last few years, but am now having second thoughts due to lack of common sense and good customer service.

Charles, while I have tried IE8, which seems to work fine on my computer, I still use Firefox 3.5. I have been using it for many years without any problems. I suggest uninstalling IE8 through the Control Panel and installing IE7 or continue using FF. Also, I have been using Google Chrome on a test basis. It seems to be a very good browser, also. I have had no problems with it, ...

I was hoping to move from Dell to HP to upgrade a University lab of Precision M4400's. I purchased a new DV6t quad to test our build and help make the decision, but the faulty BIOS is certainly going to put a wrench in this plan. Neither RHEL5.3 nor Ubuntu 9.1 can deal with this BIOS. The DSD tables in the Insyde BIOS can be manually altered, but this is not an ideal solution and ...
