That phone number is Toshiba CSR - you should have received the correct lamp. To recap... My warning lights started to flash and the video would go out, so I ordered a new lamp. In a nutshell you have been unable to get any other lamp to ever work but... My "old" lamp is still working and I don't know what I will do if it fails. So this TV is still running?

Lol! Yeah, I had to keep reminding my squeamish wife that it was just a movie and that everyone dies in Tarrantino films. His violence is glorious. I love the offbeat stuff like pointing out who is who with bubbles like a comic book. Great audio & video. Brad Pitt was excellent too.

Perhaps we should start a separate section within the forum on how to A. convince your spouse why you NEED a 60" hdtv, B. Why Deep color is sooo important, C. Why motion blur is the male equivalent to cellulite, and D. How awesome Lifetime and WE network will look in HD! We could all exchange tips on what has worked and not worked for each of us. Worst case, we could provide references for good marraige counselors.

Richard, Yes I know I have the correct lamp and I went step by step with Toshiba on the attempts to make it work. When It did not work, they offered to send me another lamp four times. Yes the set is still working. My concern is that I don't want to pay to have a repair person come here and not be able to replace the lamp and make it work.If a repair person would know what the issues are, I have no problem paying for service with...

Wasn't $199 the normal price of the HD-DVD players (not counting the heavily subsidized $99 Toshibas)? There are numerous $200 BD players on the market. Prices have dropped 50% in 18 months, just as some of us predicted it would after the death of HD-DVD.

Per the service manual the lamp is reference SK02, Toshiba part # 23587201 with an internal number of SHP66. Per a distributor I came up with 23311083A which is the new part # for the lamp. TB25-LMP also crosses over to 23311083A at the distributor but I have never seen such a Toshiba part # before. Toshiba part numbers are 8 numbers and optional character at the end in the service manuals....

Because Cablevision doesn't want to pay the carrige fees for HGTV and the Food channel. Scripps wants a higher fee for the popular channels and Cablevision, who is more often on the other side of this, doesn't want to pony up. Frankly, I'm sick of this whole situation where carriers also own content and therefore are allowed to demand or refuse to pay the fee. There should be some mandated ...

At a 15 feet viewing distance even 58" is not large enough, think bigger, up to 83" easily.
The digitized look on LCD comes from the 120/240hz motion processing garbage and sales mode settings. Expect to see this more and more with other technologies because it sells TVs. Recently discovered the Mits DLP line has it and Panasonic front projectors... You have to turn this off to see real ...

I saw it, and I am a believer. It had almost none of the 3d in your face fluff - except for a sparkling snow like effect that subtlely came out of the screen and a couple of minor spear points waving at us - that actually fit the camera angle.
It truly enhanced the view, if not the emotional aspects of the story line. I would like to see it in 2d to compare for that aspect.
I think...

Unfortunately, OTA reception of radio (first) and television did not make plain the fact the process was paid by the commercials embedded in the content. People got used to the idea they didn't have to pay - period. Along came cable with its fees - which customers could relate to, because cable provided a service that allowed them to receive more channels than they could from local ...
