"There are still Ford Mavericks on the road? " sure we don't live in "no rust belt area" but this about 17 years ago. She won't drive the 109 anymore. Jim Wolf

Mike. I'm sorry about the accident, but I'm happy to see you are all right. Take care and enjoy the rebuild or your replacement truck. I think you might have plenty of spares for any replacement! Regards, Hugh

If I get a chance to gather some stuff together, I might just toss a few things in the trailer for trades or giveaway. I am looking for an 2.25 exhaust manifold if anyone has an extra.

WOW! That's impressive breakage, do you still have the wheel with the hub, spindle and stub-axle still attched, or is it tucked into the other guys radiator still? Glad to hear no one was hurt.

Well I'm glad you walked away from that one. It hurts to have to look at your truck like that. The Rover guy in me says rebuild it. The realist in me says that unless your insurance company is extremely nice to you you's be in it for less money, time and hassle to find another truck and start from there. Even although the front took the hit you'll find tweaked parts all the way to the back of the truck once you get into the...

Whew! Glad there were no injuries, except to the rover. Probably a good thing it wasn't a RHD, as the seat cushion probably wouldn't have been the only thing that flew out the door during the accident! I think greenmeanie is right, unfortunately--your insurance company would have to be pretty generous to pay for getting your rover back to its former self, unless you have an agreed-value type policy. OF course, the beauty of the...

What the forum says is excellent advice! If its not yer fault, their ins will be paying 'fair market value' for repairs or replacement! If they opt to repair... In any estimates accept only OE parts, & RN is the # /$ to get any quotes from! then demand that ANY repairs be done by the stealershipte/ labour rates ! Chances are the adjuster has only seen numbers on newer rover wrecks, aint got a clue as to what E's looking...

I have headr of Alpine rooves and I was wondering if they are any different
than a safari top? If they are thr same let me know and instead of
butchering a perfectly good full top maybe we could work out a trade.
Depending on where you are of course.

Ive done this a few times- Ike I think has done this more....I have used hi temp silicoln in any threaded areas that I dont want covered in zinc- not
perfect but helped. As far as distortion- yes there was some, but nothing terrible. Some of the thinner sheet metal areas warped ever so slightly. As far as
fit afterwards- I found the bulkheads required as much convincing after galvanizing as ...

My parents gave me a Nylon 66 as a teenager. It's a nice light rifle to carry, but the fact that it's plastic just doesn't allow me to
bond well. And, yes, for some reason I like Glocks, so I can't explain it.
A friend recently gave me a Sears .22 single shot that I'm guessing is made by Marlin. I had it out a few weeks ago and really enjoyed shooting it. It
was very accurate and I ...

I just finished a Rochester B install on my 109 today, finally replacing a Zenith and a two different Webers. The old carbs would never idle OK, being
different from one stop to another. The Rochester I have was on a 2.25 bought via Ike several years ago, and had a severe stumble just as the throttle was
opened when I previously tried it on my 88. I rebuilt the carb yesterday using a rebuild kit ...

Oh dear! I'm glad no one was hurt.
If you are up for it, I say pull the good parts, find a clapped out project and move your good parts over to it and hopefully you'd be back in the running
again.
