I've been looking to start playing Harmonica myself, And I did a little bit of research on YouTube. The most commonly suggested beginner Harmonica I found was a 10 hole C Diatonic harmonica. If you want reverb, you need a multi effect, not just a distortion pedal. I have a Zoom G2, which is great in the bedroom through the practise amp. I have a Boss ME50 which does everything I need on stage.

Check first if the firewire/usb cable you use isn't dodgy, I had a certain episode yesterday when attaching a firewire loop to my macbook. Check the differences in activity. If your hard drive isn't hooked up to your computer and you turn it on, it should just create a soft whirrrr as it's fan powers up. I have found a way to record the audio off youtube. But it sounds real thin. I take the headphone jack off a speaker and have a 1/4 plug to headphone jack plug and plug it into my Gnx4. It records very good. But my problem is when I convert to mp3 it loses some bass and becomes thin and tinny sounding. I tried to overdub it several times to no avial. I don't know alot recording. There's one in a pawn shop that I could get for about $150. I know it's a hybrid, SS preamp and tube power. But do they sound good? I'm not expecting much on the drive side, but is the clean good?
