Most people who are in politics will tell you that being Governor for a year and a half provides more experience than being a councilman,Rep. or Sen. for a short period of time .Governors have to deal with all aspects of government,on a daily basis.A Sen.,just reports to his assigned committee ,and votes. I was shocked at first, but the more I think about it it may be a brilliant strategy...

My husband is going to re-enlist for the 1st time in bout a month. We were told since it is his is 1st re-up he has a pretty good chance of getting whatever duty station he wants. It is not gaurunteed but most likely. I wanted to know if that includes the unit like can he request a on-deploying unit also or does he not have a choice? He just came off a 13 month deploy to Iraq so going back soon ...

Yes, the Army has finally issued guidance about what the sort-of new Army Service Uniform shall be. The Army has created a uniform carousel for anyone with a few minutes and brain cells to kill. It's located on www.army.mil. The link is in the center of the page. As a disclaimer, I would just like to say that I was not consulted during the design process. I'd have kept the Blue ...

Presented without additional comment (aside from the fact that a distinguished representative of the military and one from Hollyweird actually agree on it): This is an e-mail from Brigadier General James Cash, USAF, who has written some very good articles on the subject. Here he recommends someone else's e-mail that impressed him, and scared him. General Cash Wrote: ...

I have gained permission to post some really wild stuff about 9-11 and more. All total, there are about 81 movies. Here's the link: Matthias Chronicles Videos Thoughts/opinions appreciated. For the record: I personally do NOT ascribe to this sort of stuff, but I DO believe in free speech and controversy can be a good thing.

Not mentioned until now. As far as I can recall, no mention has been made concerning a very unusual situation that occurred on Guadalcanal. Fairly early in the battle it became apparent that the Japanese were targeting the higher ranking enlisted men and the officers. An order was issued that all symbols of rank, including chevrons, badges, and even words such as 'Sir' were to be no ...

I guess it is time to make sure that all hatches are battened down. Fay is on a beeline for the homestead and will likely be here sooner than I would like. She is forecast to hit as a tropical storm but who knows. _________________ BILLYD, TSgt, USAF(Ret) Adult Instructor, Grunt's Cadet Forum

Got this from my Dad today, and thought it provided an interesting viewpoint on what's happening in our world. I don't know the original author, but give it a read.... R/ Pingjocky Quote: Subject: George W.'s war No one likes war. War is a horrific affair, bloody and expensive. Sending our men and women into battle to perhaps die or...
