Boring...... pt. 2
Published (2009-11-20 23:16:00)
I can see two reasons why one would bore out their jugs. 1. To repair damaged cylinders by creating a new surface for larger pistons and rings. 2. To put bigger pistons in to create more power!!! The question is...how far is too far? Is there any disadvantages to boring the jugs out to the max to gain as much power as possible through increased displacement? In an air cooled engine such as a motorcycle, boring the jugs out can cause...

if your going new get an 08+ as they have an updated supercharger with better oiling. I would also stay away from the rxt-x as they have pump tunnel problems.

Maybe use some kawi 800 pistons! I heard of people using snowmobile pistons in place of stock or store bought stuff to increase displacemnt, but i dont have any experience in this area. Maybe someone on here can enlighten us! And dont worry about jugs, just buy another one off fleabay. there a dime a dozen. I have 3 here myself! I hear also that flat tops are better to use. Just need to check squish and pressure by the way, you ever thought of...

If that thing runs smooth across flat water, would you be Wang gliding? If they mimic the Genesis, (4 seater) that would prob. be the biggest Wang around. I can see it now. "Hello ladies. Would the 3 of you like to ride on my Wang?"

If it got that hot, it's possible that is has crank bearing damage on and on. It maybe easier to just get a used 701 and install it in there. You can bore/hone and put a top end on it if needed however, the crank is likely shot if it got that hot. I would get ...

I dont want to make the guy look stupid. He didnt know the value of the parts obviously. He wasnt really into the ski or skis in general. He rode it for one season and then let it sit for two years.
He apparently painted it himself and it didnt come out good. Im sure he assumed that because the ski looked poor that he was going to have a hard time selling it, especially in October. His ...

Watching the video, I noticed a few things...
- That ain't 94mph...
- All the lights were flashing yellows...
- No lights on either cop car are flashing...
Anything coming that fast around a slight corner would throw my judgement off...
