I sure am glad to know there are a few out there. Glad to know there is at least one more truck, thanks Ken! When did you get your Yukon Chris and did you get the transmission update done yet?

Sounds like they screwed up the reprogramming (just a guess). The first bit of brake pedal travel is when the regeneration should start, and that should be instant. I wonder if they didn't get one of the controllers programmed properly. I notice no difference in the braking since getting the recall work done. Take it back ASAP.

end of warranty approaching
Published (2009-12-13 19:16:00)
I'm within a couple of months of the end of the 3yr 36k mile warranty on my '07 FEH, now with 25k miles on it. It's been trouble free except for the blend door problem fixed under warranty. The battery harness recall did not apply to me. There's a squeak from the liftgate and a rattle from the passenger side front window. No other known issues. So is there anything I should do with regard to servicing before the warranty...

The dealer called me to let me know something didn't get connected back when I pulled off the plastic cover and that is all it was.
Still interested to know though what will be needed to make this happen. I guess the R18 is a real fuel efficient motor.

Thank you, thank you.
This will be going on a post card laminated and kept in the glove box for those occasions when it's needed.

I was going to be out of town for 3 weeks, so I called the honda dealer and asked if anything needed to be done with my hybrid. They told me that if the car is not going to be driven for more than four weeks, then the hybrid battery should be disconnected.

According to what I've seen, the Motorcraft FL2017B is used on Escape Hybrids produced before 12-3-08, so that would include early 2009's.
The Motorcraft FL910 is used on units produced after 12-3-08.
They are not interchangeable. If you don't know when your vehicle was produced, you can ask your service advisor to run an OASIS report on your VIN. Your build date and in-service date ...

Not necessary. If your hybrid has an internal heater inside the hybrid battery and an electrical connection, one can keep the hybrid battery warm while it is outside. I have just a setup on my 2005 Escape Hybrid.

I have the exact same issue. My 09 has 4500 miles on it and the IMA light came on. The dealer says it is a bad battery pack and has ordered a new one. I have parked the car until the new pack is installed. They of course said it will be a full warrenty but it is interesting that you have the same issue. My 03 civic hybrid batteries lasted 80k miles, they were repaced under warrenty and my ...

Looking in Honda Canada's summation of the current '09's Comfort & Convenience section of Specifications, I see remote trunk release now is included. When we got our '06 I recall being disappointed by the omission of remote release. Frustrating too when the Owner's Manual shows it:
You can open the trunk with the key while the car's alarm is on, and the in-dash alarm indicator ...

If I could get the car checked-up by a trusted Honda dealership and a CarFax report showed nothing serious then I would definitely consider it.
If the car has a dealership serviced history then I would grab it even faster.
Areas I would look at:
- Health and state of the battery pack
- State of the exhaust and emissions equipment
- EGR valve
- O2 sensors
Cheers;

Please be sure to post what you find after installing this. I was reading on their site and it did not mention the camry as one of the vehicles that it would work in. So I am very interested to see if this works!

My TCH is 2.5 years old and I just replaced the battery on the fob. I wasn't aware there was a low battery warning, but if there is, I didn't see one. I just noticed that there was delay when touching the handle, or that I had to be really close to the car. Also, when I got back in the car (leaving it running) from the mailbox, it said key not detected, even though it was in my pocket. So it ...

It's automated. You can reset it to 100% oil life if you wish, just to turn it off. Just remember to get your oil changed before 20,000 miles.
I hope you are checking your oil frequently, if you are going the full 10,000 miles between changes.

Your first choice. Oil change, CVT oil change and air filter. Your manual pretty well explains it for you. Hal
