I LOVE North American football. Obsessed with the NFL and my Dallas Cowboys. (Yes they are mine I feel as though I am a part of them). But gotta say European Soccer... just not aired at the right times over here or consistently enough to watch it and stay in touch. Though I usually try to catch the World Cup. Like that one.

Depends on the design and how well it works. I have seen logos where every letter is a different font, but it worked.
As a general rule of thumb, I try not use more than 2 different fonts.

I love the use of letters and numbers as building blocks for a bigger picture, however, this design doesn't quite work for me as it is. I'm not sure of the type of design work you do but this logos makes me think of kids and clowns.
Also, I wonder if somebody looking at it would think "oh how clever, the name of the business is Steve Scott Design and he used 2 S's and a D in his logo!" or ...

The Mac OS is much simpler, but they are both capabe of doing the same things equally well. Way too many people say macs are so much better and are absolutely necessary for design/photo/video. I use XP on a desktop I built, but have always used PCs. The only difference seems to be that Avid (video editing program) is only available for macs. I hear it's the best video program.

Typefaces and families of fonts are the result of long arduous hours of work by a typographer/designer. Especially in the case that you are using this typeface for a client and potentially for the client's profit, the typographer's work should be respected as part of the success of the profit, and the typeface should be legally purchased.
