The only thing that annoys me is that balloon msgs in the task bar... "this device can perform faster" or "a mass storage device has been found".... Thanks guys, it's only down to anonymouse that I can get in here at all!!!! I will try your suggestions. I always use firefox but it won't wrok on IE either as I said.

Try rebooting your modem/dsl/cable box. Mine used to do that for some reason. You could try using a different dns server. I've started using openDNS and it seems to resolve IP addresses much better than my ISP's server. Put these numbers in wherever you do that on a pc - 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220 If it's only this site, then you might try installing an ad-blocker in firefox - there ...
