I've been to one of these fairly frequently, and my experiences were all over the map.
Sometimes it's so much fun b/c everyone there is around your size, and most of the guys are there b/c they are actually interested in someone your size. You get to actually dance and flirt with the opposite sex instead of with just your friends. So, fun and awesome night.
