My thread about clubs to get my wife got merged to the existing one here by a moderator so I thought I would reply to it anyway... Thanks for all the input guys/gals. I got Callaway 460cc womens driver, 3W, 5W, Womens Big Bertha irons in 4I-SW (4-7 i-brids and 8-SW irons), and a navy/black Callaway cart bag. This should get her started in the right direction and after a few lessons we will get the set custom fit to her. It is my thought that...

I played Wente when they first open with my dad and uncle and the host of the Bay Area golf show "Hook on Golf was playing just behind us, Mitch. Strange enough, I have had some good round with little sleep or having to use the bathroom. I am playing Popular Creek this morning. Enjoy your round at Wente, I have been using "Golf Now" for discount rounds.

Make sure you get the 2009 if you do get a Vokey. It has red paintfill and the older, square grooves. If you get the 2010 C-C model with yellow paintfill, you would be getting the small grooves. There isnt really a point to getting the newer ones, as the older ones will perform better.

I would say at least $500 maybe $600. You can trade them in and maybe get more for them though. I know the driver is about $100 resold now.

During the 3rd round of the Australian Masters Tiger Woods hit a poor tee shot and proceeded to throw/slam his driver into the ground and it shot into the nearby gallery. On camera it seemed as if Tiger was more concerned with the physical status of his driver after the incident than he was with the status of any gallery members that could have been hit by his club toss. Tiger ...

So I go to the course today and get paired up with 2 older ladies, probably like 55 or 60. Very nice ladies, but not that great at golf. Anyways, I shoot, have to wait quite a bit for them to catch up then I shoot again, wait, etc etc... I ended up shooting a 48! I was hitting some really ugly approach shots and just couldnt understand it. I went out yesterday and shot ...

I have alot of respect for the Steelers. They are a good team. I agree but you have to give the bengals credit. They made it happen just as much as the steelers let it go. It is finally nice to have some excitement. Stealing some from Pittsburg.

Id choose to play 4 times a month at a muni. The courses arent that much better at the more expensive courses and you are less likely to run into golf snobs at munis. Not to mention Id much rathar play more often than to play at a nicer course. I just dont see where a higher end course is worth the money.
