Playing Different Tee's...

QUOTE (volrus @ Nov 8 2009, 06:49 PM) I frequently play with my boss and clients who are typically around 20+ index. I on the other hand am a 7.5. They are better suited to play the shorter tees (can't handle much more than about 6200 yards) while I'm better suited to play either from the tips or one box in front of the tips. I hate playing the shorter tee box but always do because I don't want to seem like a...

Playing Different Tee's...

My post here is probably too late to matter, but for what it is worth, if I were your client in this situation I'd be happy to be playing with you and your boss and I sincerely wouldn't care where you played from. Further, when I have the opportunity to play with someone better than I am I'm particularly pleased to watch and maybe learn, and would be happy to do so while you were playing from the back tees. If I were you,...

QUOTE (JanKo @ Nov 13 2009, 08:48 AM) Cool setup, nice choice in the irons. How does the A7 play? I really want to try one of those, but didn“t get to hit one yet. Can you compare it to the A4 by any chance? Oh yeah, the greatest club in the bag is the putter for sure. Always loved the Santa Fe. Thanks. I actually can compare as I had the A4 before I had the A7. Off the tee they are both great clubs if you're playing...

QUOTE (mike03a3 @ Nov 12 2009, 01:00 PM) MarkM Thanks. I did buy a rule book and read it (which is clearly not the same thing as understanding the rules!) I'll take your advice and read the decisions as well. You are absolutely correct, it is Lloyd, not Floyd. Thanks for pointing out my mistake, I corrected my sig. I got that putter when I was a kid, probably 13. My dad was trying to get me interested in playing...

I think I'm about done trying to get my friends to play... They never can drag themselves out of bed after getting too liquored up at night... Anyone want to play sometime this weekend around Jackson? Pearl, Baypointe, Hinds, Refuge? I shoot in the high 80s low 90s typically but haven't played except on the range in a while. Drinking, not drinking, etc, doesn't matter I just want to get out and tee times shouldn't be too...

Recommendation for West Ireland
Published (2009-11-13 21:20:00)
It's tough to recommend courses for other golfers. I would rank them in the order you listed them- Carne, Enniscrone and Sligo. They are all challenging- Carne quite remote, though all three are not that far from one another. Sligo seemed more "conventional" to me but I'm sure others would disagree. If you really liked Lahinch, I think yo would prefer Carne or Enniscrone, both of which are seen by some as a little...

Miura CB-301s?

Power Golf in Rowland Heights, CA (LA area). Around $1400 for 3~PW with KBS Tour 90. But then again, it all depend on what they charge you for the labor and what type of shaft you choose to go with. But if you do decide on DG, maybe you can get your club builder to lower the price a little as they are little cheaper compare to PX/KBS/TC. Maybe ask to have set of new head cover to go with the new clubs

QUOTE (Harry Longshanks @ Nov 11 2009, 03:36 PM) My questions is, at this point, are there any men suffering from limp linguini that don't know about all of the ED meds? Do they really need to be advertising at all? HL...I like my pasta al dente.

To be effective, a driver is swung differently to any iron (even a one iron) and the ball needs to be teed high and hit between one and four degrees on the upstoke. With 460cc heads only tees of between 3.25" and 4" can enable any golfer to correctly get at the ball in the way which a driver was designed for. If one is swinging incorrectly, or using an inadequate angle of attack, or using ...

GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE UPDATE November 4, 2009: The conditioning level of the courses continues to improve as the overseeding becomes more established. The seedlings have required a moderate amount of irrigation for their establishment. They are now at a stage where we can start limiting the irrigation to enable the firmness to return to the fairways...

I had a set, liked them a lot and used head covers so they held up well. In fact they were pretty much in the same condition when I sold them as when I bought them. I had them close to a year, I have the 202s now and like them even better.

It will be hard to get on the sandbelt courses unless you are well-connected. I would recommend going to the Mornington Peninsula - it's about 90 minutes from Melbourne and has some fantastic courses: Moonah Links (stay on course at Peppers Resort) - 2 courses available The Dunes St Andrews Beach The National The Cape Portsea Sorrento Just did a Google search and this package looks good...

Playing by the rules is the only way I've ever done it and the only way, in my opinion, to play it. Otherwise, why play? I love the story in Harvey Penick's Little Red Book about the parents that brought their little boy for golf lessons and the father kept giving "gimmies" to his son. Harvey cringed and said his son would never know if he did well or not on the hole by taking the ...

I live in Ct. & have played over 70 rounds this year, pretty much all over the state. there are plenty of nice courses to play that are challenging yet fair. I think the problem lies in what tees everyone plays from. Most people shouldn't be playing from the tips. Everyone likes to think they're a better golfer than they actually are, think they hit the ball farther than they actually do & ...

in the jacksonville area, if you can get access to the timaquana country club, it is a beautiful old donald ross course that is worth finding. in orlando, i always play both crooked cat and panther lake, they are very good courses. others around orlando are the golden bear at keen's point and the legacy club at alaqua lakes. both are private and may need some kind of introduction to play...

Its hard to offer advice on your tee box situation..... if you really want to play the whole course....I dont think anybody would mind dropping you off and pulling the cart up..... or if you enjoy there company.....and feel that your not ...
