QUOTE (CaptainSAND @ Nov 12 2009, 05:24 PM) QUOTE (madweazl @ Nov 12 2009, 02:20 PM) I've tried 3 different ones now: BFG A/T, Bridgestone M/T, and Pro Comp Extreme A/T (which I currently have). I had a BFG come apart while my wife was driving after about 12k. It could have been a fluke but I wont run them again. I had the Bridgestones on after that, they didnt make anymore noise than the BFG and seemed...

Vin And Registration?
Published (2009-11-13 22:14:00)
I looked into this a few years back and found that the only ones DMV will register is the ones that have the EPA plate on it.. Of course every DMV is different it seems.. If the bike is older, try and do a lost title instead. It won't show in the system and they will automatically send you to the chp. When you go to the CHP, they will probably just want a bill of sale and will check motor serial. My advice? Try and pass it off or...

Everything that will fit. What ever you have for spares, take. I made me up two bolt trays (metric and standard) and use them all the time in the sand it seems.

My guess based on what we know so far... You stated the LEO told you he was gonna give you a smaller fined ticket vs. the one for driving on Ted Kipf road. So you got a ticket for driving an OHV on an unmarked trail. Well, that is not a legit ticket. You should fight it. You were in ISDRA area. That area is Limited use, but there are no signs to designate "Open" trails. (Yet..I bet they post some soon) Tell the judge you...

The bill of sale should have the VIN number on it right? That is hard to say. It almost sounds like they are grey market machines with no smog, due to not having VIN plates on the headstock. If so, I don't think they can be registered. Best thing to do is take the bill of sale to the DMV and they will tell you for sure.

for close to stock bikes or even mildly modded ones, it's hard to argue the benefits against each other for a 8-10" rim. especially with the endless tire/wheel combos out there. the tire can make or break you a lot more than the diameter of the rim. i personally like the feel of a 8" rim. 10" rims to me were always more for looks without sacrificing much performance. some ...

i cant say enough about my toyo A/Ts! mine are the 285/75R16 load range D that i put on my stock wheels originally for about 10-12K miles then switched over to 8in wide eagles. just over 50K miles now and have prolly 10K left in em, and i tow a very pin heavy 5th wheel to boot! normally a 3/4 ton truck towing will destroy tires, but these are holding up great. i do keep em rotated every 5K ...
