For those who're using Chrome 4.0, this extension is quite useful: Click&Clean . With this extension, clearing cookies is easy, just press Alt-C and done. In particular, when I come this forum, if not logged in, I press "Alt-C" and "Log in", that's it. Otherwise, I would have to go thru these steps: Click Wrench Select Options Click "Clear browsing data" Click...

To use a bookmarklet, just drag it somewhere on your bookmarks toolbar (you can move later) and click it whenever you need it. That is, if you still have a use for it.

Norton 360 Free 60 days
Published (2009-11-27 10:56:00)
Fair enough. I will just say one more thing on this subject and that is have any of you tried Norton 360? I do realize that it is not freeware but it is still free for 60 days. I have had so much trouble with Norton in the past but this Norton 360 is much different to any of the other Norton products that I have tried. Thanks.

I have to agree that if there is a log-in box presented on the main forum page it should be one that functions properly.

Actually I won't go that far as to recommend Dr.Web for every day work, it does increase the commit charge over time. A memory leakage perhaps? Not good. But for cleaning purposes it is very good. From my own experience ESET Smart Security is very good for every day work, perhaps together with Shadow Defender and with a back-up of the system, just in case. Threatfire is a behavioral blocker if I am not mistaken, just like Mamutu. It is...

Hi sondre, I come here every day because Gizmo says I'm useful but my wife says I'm sick! The real reason though is that my day is far more interesting than it would be otherwise thanks to people like you. I hope you continue to enjoy your visits here, please let us have any suggestions or comments you might have.

That's right. It's not just an Opera problem. I have to do the whole routine with FF as well (which I hadn't discovered until recently). I'm finding it a pain but especially because I don't want to delete all my cookies every day so I have to go in and just delete the techsupportalert ones. It'd be nice if the board software would play along with the main site software.

What format is the video file in?
I believe many mobile devices record videos in various different formats.
You may well have the appropriate codec installed on your PC (possibly by your cell phone software) which WMP is able to use, whereas your friends don't?
Your best option would probably be to convert the video file to something more universal such as AVI, MP4 or WMA - have a ...

Stationairy Malfunctioning?
I wonder if any of you experts can help. I currently use Outlook Express but have problems with stationary that I send to clients along with normal text.
When they reply, the screen shows multiple copies of my stationary and this obscures the text etc. It does not happen with every email only about ...

I totally agree and if I were going to do Linux, would be Mint. Portable Ububtu isn't even close to being a fair representation

I can suggest some small music players, but I could not find the feature of sorting by tags. Maybe Jaangle can do what you say.
1by1 is a minimal and good player, and it is also known as "Directory Player"... should fulfill your needs of playing from a directory, but I don't think it has tagging capabilities.
Other small ones are Foobar2000, XMPlay and Xion.

On my Vista x64 with 4GB RAM, Norton uses 12% more memory than pretty much everything else I've ever run. Although this is maybe not such a big deal for many modern machines it sure rules out a lot of others, especially laptops. If you like rotating windows and a two page explanation for everything it does then I guess it's fantastic. In terms of protection though It's no better than you can ...

Hi and welcome to the forum .
Which OS are you running? That would help too.
First of all, I would say to increase the RAM, because 128 MB is just not enough. That's one of the big reason why everything is so slow. Increase the RAM to 1 GB, and you will immediately notice an increase in performance.
The machine also seems to be an old one, and on the slower side. That will affect ...

No problems whatsoever with Opera 10 (installed) for me in relation to this site.
