The Copper Country News ran a short article just recently about Seneca Lake. They run a "Then & Now" section each week to rerun articles from past publications. The Apaches had plans the following...

Man dies near Bodie

Bodie usually is listed in the local paper as having the lowest temperature for the prior day. Be prepared when going out, and don't go alone when it's extremely cold, hot, wet, etc.

Yep. Sounds like you got some good advice. You'd likely be Tasered, arrested, and locked up with terrorism charges if you were caught in Calico like that.
Hey my wife and I spent Christmas in Vienna a few years ago. We had dinner at the Rathaus. I remember wandering around the Christmas village and that wonderful, hot, spiced drink.

Sounds like a fun trip. I live near Beaverton, wouldn't take much more than an hour or two to get to Camas. I've got a couple friends who might be interested, and we could take a Jeep or a 4x4 Kia.
BTW, what did they mine there?

I was wondering if anyone on here has vintage photos of Gold Point, NV. My company is doing a book on this ghost town and we are in need of a few photos. If you can help out, please let me know!

Thanks so much for the pictures. I'm so upset that I had to miss the Ghost Town Rally up there a few years ago, but I had to go to my best friend's brother's and niece's funeral that weekend.

Also, I have come across a bunch of stones on top of most of the hills that seem to be arranged in a structural form. I've been told that these are ...
