Obviously, everyone wants to play Blue side first. But, one learns how to get better at the game by playing Red. I highly recommend trying a Red vs Red operation to improve force preservation and ammo conservation etc. since they do not get to resupply from vehicles (oddly).

so far in my experience an effective approach is to sneak up using covered arcs... and keep the guys spread out! allied armor can make short work of large numbers of infantry if spotted and close together.
