Why do you suspect overheating, is the casing getting really hot? I mean it could be anything manufacturing defect, firmware bug etc.

I'd say a 650w from any good manufacturer: Corsair, Silverstone, Enermax would do it :) It's a power hungry card, though not quite as power hungry as the 4870X2 Have you considered the 5870? or the 5970 coming out next month apparently, which is basically a 5870X2 :S but would probably have the low power consumptions that the new cards come with. Think the GT300 is coming out soon too, but apparently that's anytime in Q1 2010 :S

It's looking pretty good at the moment - other than my connection to my mate over in England, still going at very slow speeds. But general web browsing + downloading files has improved significantly. stroke64: YAY - finally (hopefully) I can use my PS3 to play *all* the Freview HD content I record on my MythTV backend, not just TV3. I won't even bother with buying a PlayTV device, not when a dual DVB-T tuner for my PC is around half the price. How does this help you? The update is only for PlayTV, isn't it?

I doubt, but could be wrong, that Telecom or any other ISP, will target any online gaming with their traffic shaping. Online gaming does not use a lot of traffic, especially compared to youtube, other dubious movie streaming sites or illegal torrents. 100,000 ping? not sure if that is even possible...

The Consumer test method only managed to get differences in performance by daisy chaining the cables out past 26 metres. Foolishly they ranked the cables with scores between 8.7 - 9.4 for picture. Choice, the Australian magazine used the same results but just said that there was no difference in performance.
