So you're getting inflow of 3060 gph, but outflow of 180 gph? Sheesh, something doesn't sound right. At what point in the plumbing are you calculating the inflow? and are u just using math calculations based on your ells and other twists and turns or are you taking a real live measurement? I can't quite tell based on your answer.

I don't know why he's goinhg with the 1000. My 4200 gal pond only uses 750 4200seq pumps. One is for the bead filter and from where the pump sets it's pumping up 7'.

a small pondless waterfall would be another option... but, how about the other side of the porch or backyard where you can build a nice one? have you considered these options?

It's really simple ya'll. More flow. Your 750 series is only rated for the same as my Easy Pro. And I've tested the Easy Pro with a water flow meter. It was very close to advertised flow. You have to move up to the 1000 to get higher flow, the 5100 and 6100 in particular. The Ultima II 4000 recommends a flow rate of 4000 at a head loss of 10 ft. I'm over that @ 13 ft. and the calculated (not measured) flow going into the...

Matak, My pond is a 365 gallon pre-molded pond from Lowes and it has been up an running since Sept of 2008. I have a 18 gallon skimmer/pre-filter where the 750 GPH water pump is that is inline to a 27 gallon boi-filter. Based on your configration between your garage and the side walk, you will have to come up with a different filtration system. If you can consult a local professional pond supply as to what might be the best filter setup for...

is there easy access to electricity?
You can do a water feature, but I would not put fish in it. I think that area is way too small for that and keeping a pond clean and fish alive in such a small area will be a nightmare.
How about one of those upright stones with a hole in the middle just pouring down? You could have your river rock all over the the ...

I have a sequence, and it's very quiet. Just hear the water flowing through. Mine is in a filter pit so I don't hear it all. Evolutions are comparable to Sequence, tho are cheaper. The reason I went with Sequence ultimately was because Evolutions are known to not be as electrically efficient as advertised on their wattage sticker, particularly for those under 4000 ...

I have a 30 gallon tank for two common goldfish. One of my goldfish got sick and passed away a few months ago. My water quality is good and I waited 2 months to make sure my other fish stayed healthy before I got him a new mate. I went to the local fish store and got talked into a Shubunkin, which I found out when I got home and did my research is ...

In essence, a bottom drain sits at the bottom of the pond and acts as the point of entry for water/debris into the filter. Gunk is pulled into it and then lands into your filter and the water then circulates through the pump and comes out clean on the other end back into your pond via a waterfall or whatever way you use to get water back in (hose, spitter, etc)....

did a little research. they are called eductors. the question I have is are they safe for fish. Apparently they work by drawing in extra water via a vacuum effect and that increases the flow by up to 1.5.
