Great thread, Demian, and I agree wholeheartedly. I've hoped for a #4 like Harris for a long time. His energy is unbelievable. I think it was in overtime when one of the announcers said that he couldn't believe how fresh Elias looked. I agreed. I also want to give a "shout-out" to Matt for his toughness as well. 11 boards while defending a "high profile" scorer from New York City and holding him to...

WCC gets tougher!

It's all a game of attrition. I think St. Mary's was one of the best teams not to make the NCAA tournament. They lost their two best players in Patty Mills and Diamon Simpson. If not for Mills' injury, they could have gone quite far.

The pecking order for pollsters is self sorting. Another team that the Zags will move past.

Polls?

#17. I have to hope that somewhere reporters and the coaches assistants who fill out ballots saw the Zags play or at least read Katz and Goodman, recognized this team is really, really good and will reward them with a nice jump in the polls. And then when the Zags beat WSU and Wake they will steadily climb, coming in at No. 12 when we face a 6th-ranked Duke squad and take them out, propelling GU to a top-10 ranking heading into WCC play.

Uber, I vote option 2, I have been wearing the same shorts for the games this week, not washed, dont wanna wear off that victory smell.
About 6 years ago i bought a GU gold divot tool, it has 2 different sized ball markers and is pretty much awesome. I have been holding that for all the games this year, clicking the magnetic ball markers, especially when the game is close....it drives ...

Elias is a more skilled version of Diamon Simpson... and exactly what this program needed. It's hard to believe that he's just a freshman.

Life w/o Blake Griffin is proving to be difficult.
Zags hand the baton to Toreros and Pilots. Go get 'em.

We should be ranked ahead of the now top 15 teams who haven't really played anybody. Another Washington state school comes to mind.

Did anyone else see the Cincinnati player run in and jump all over Sacre's
back nearly knocking him over? Then the very next play they call over the
back on Eliases' tip over the back unreal.

A lesser player (possibly even a younger Matt) would have either forced up some bad shots and/or let it get him frustrated.
MattyB just played it cool and took what came to him. Forget the stat sheet, this was one of his most impressive performances. Really, really highlighted his IQ and character.

Without Gray or Bouldin we lose this game today but I'll put in a vote for
Bouldin. His Clutch shots down the stretch were so big for this team when
we have struggled with this in the past.

Bol Kong is his own luau. For breakfast he swam out on a surfboard, caught a white shark with his hands and then spit-roasted it on the beach. Not one to be accused of missing details, Kong served said fish with crushed macadamia, pineapple and metal shavings salsa.
Unfortunately there was none to share with Kelly, who desperately wanted a bit.

Seems like the beginning of every college hoops seson we hear the talking heads describing something as " a point of emphasis this year" for the officials. I recall "palming" calls were prevalent early one season and then, by the time the Big Dance rolled 'round, it seemed like a non-existent rule.
Other than the charge vs. block changes, are there other points of emphasis the casual fan ...
