If they're asking 14.9 they really mean 13.5 or so. Play both against the other. Go tell the Pontiac dealer the Ford dealer will deal at 13.7 but tell the Pontiac dealer you like their car better but the price of the Barbados could be a deal breaker. In the meantime drive the blue one. Decide which car drives the best for the money. Play the Ford dealer and tell them you like the one at the Pontiac dealer better... Play both sides of the...

I may have to wait on heads until further down the road because my budget will be VERY tight already and I just don't think heads will be an option until later on,but if I can get decent power gain with stock heads, ported intake/TB,and cam then I'm ok with it until further down the road.

Thanks! I haven't seen very many GTOs with Snetterton's on them. Took me about 2 months to pick out wheels, then I realized I needed tires and spent another couple weeks picking those! (NT555's, now wanting NT05's) The Dakota's are alright.. not currently home.. kinda wish though since that's where the GTO is! __________________ 05/YJ/M6/17 flick r

I know of a gold on gold '67POST car, just restored and has a 4spd with factory AC.....weird. I have not seen the car, but it's supposed to be gorgeous. Car is in CA and is a rust free, CA car.

That is not too shabby - at that rate you would be aroung the low 13's in
the 1/4 - your 60' time is not good because of your tires - get it hooked
up and you would most likely be in the high 12's!!

coil overs would be a good choice as they are adjustable hight/rebound etc
other then that you could just go better shocks and firmer springs
sway bars and bushes will also help

Phenomial post. Thank you very much. I saw you were in Concord and "Mike White" and "Lehmer's" were the first words that went through my head -- so it was pleasant suprise to see you two hook up.
Regarding the factory parts, that's a big problem with GM. Instead of spending the money and equipping the cars with top shelf parts, they have purchase agents spec crap -- and you can see where...

I have a USFidelis 5 year warranty that was transferred to me by the previous owner when I bought my 05. You kind of have to 'jump through hoops' to fulfill those warranties. Can't change you own oil or do your own maintainence, etc. Are you cetain that your mods would be covered?

ive got an idea... Just race slower cars. You seem pretty modded out to me.
Other than a supercharger or something and that is going to cost way more
than $4000.

I just changed the clutch, throw out, slave, input shaft seal and added a remote bleeder, and steel braded clutch line about a month ago. I ordered a throw out and slave for a 2002 F-body. I'll try to give you a quick run down before I head to work.

I think a head gasket thinner than .030 like the one you found is about as good as it's going to get. .028 is pretty thin! You could have the heads milled another .020". It's early yet, I'm still foggy, but I think you lose 1cc for every .005" milled off. I have 87cc heads on my '67 400 (bored .030 for 406cid), and I am barely at 9:1. I can still run regular fuel. There are several good ...
