During a recent password audit, it was found that a blonde was using the following password: MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofy When asked why such a big password, she said that it had to be at least 8 characters long.

Frank Catt Exhaust now fitted.

Jim, up until recently there are no noise levels measured on road cars (except for SVA), only track cars. How mad is that. I have zero silencing on my 4x4 as I am trying to get the turbo to spin up faster and reduce lag for the off road bit. I took the vehicle for it's annual MOT inspection and the tester issued me an advisory about the "excessive exhaust noise". I asked what the recommended level was and he said there...

Tend to agree with Randy and Jack. Looks like a lift from the GT driver from where I'm sitting.

Original Race Car Transporters
Published (2009-11-19 21:34:00)
I think what's cool about the transporters for the old race teams is that some of them reflect the look of the cars- not that they look like the cars, but some of them were obviously designed by car enthusiasts and people who just loved motor vehicles, like us. It's GREAT that the Ecurie Ecosse transporter was found and restored. What a beautiful old truck and how nice that they have it all fixed up.

Coolest Race Car Transporters
Published (2009-11-20 03:17:00)
Dont know about 'Cool', but I quite like the 'can do' thinking about these two, based on the Olds/Cadillac front wheel drive package like some early motorhomes. Not sure how it would go in NZ with all our hills etc, be bloody embarassing to run out of traction going up the Dunedin Motorway on a wet n frosty night with a car on the back & no weight transfer to the front drive . Best I stick to my 79 F250 dually.

Here's the aero difference.... You can go 205+ in the GT on a level and straight road without add'l aero effects nor a lot of experience piloting super fast cars. It'll be steady and track true. Try going 205+ in your GT40 replica and here's some of the stuff you'll experience: windshield wipers lifting and then launching themselves, external rear view mirrors launching, door tops getting sucked up and out, plexi-door...

Mark, Perhaps a Rotozip may be handier than the jigsaw. Engine stand and cherry-picker, wheel dollies, floor jack(s) and stands, plenty of workbench area and storage racks for parts.

Original secondhand Mk3 Ford Zodiac demister grilles come up occasionally on UK Ebay but can go for silly money.
Reproductions appear often on UK Ebay at about £55-60 + postage. The source appears to be Mark Sibley in Exeter UK (Ebay seller mark28576) who ran the now defunct GT40 kit maker MDA.
The link is:- GT40 Demister Grill styled on original on eBay (end time 26-Nov-09 20:29:43 GMT)...

Dear Mark
Here is a picture taken of my Dax Mark 1. The photo was more to deal with the rear suspension/brake unit, but hopefully if shows how the rear clip hinge is fabricated.

Our health care is by no means perfect but I would rather, by far, pay into a system like we have in Canada. We don't enter or leave a hospital with a broken leg or other with a bill attached to the I.V unit. As for specialized care, many Canadian provinces wait times are getting longer but to qualify all Canadian special care institutes a joke is off base. People from all over the world come ...

That's a neat looking exhaust.
I've been to frank a couple of times and it's always a pleasure to talk to someone who's as driven as myself and also is trying to improve himself.
can't wait to see the video and hear the sound

Brilliant! I can use it to play my favourite driving simulator during those boring trips!
I wonder if it'll take a force feedback wheel and pedal set?
Think of the possibilities - Just put the plane on auto, start up the laptop and get flying! Google's flight sim' is pretty accurate they tell me.

Good question. I remember back in the 60's there were a bunch of really cool race transporters. It seemed like the transporters were just as popular as the race cars themselves.

Bruce,
I'm sorry you didn't see this thread before you forked over your hard-earned cash: T&L Engines Quality Control??? - BEWARE!
The word has been out on T&L for quite a long time, apparently.
As for me, I managed to lose about $4K on a similar deal with Jomar Race Engines in Detroit. So stay away from there too....

Thankfully someone has, at last, broached this terrible subject on this forum.
I have been holding my breath for this post and I really welcome the measure of Allens comments.
I have long reached the conclusion that being politically correct is really for the
fairies and the open toe sandal brigade. I cannot imagine anything worse than someone opening fire in these circumstances within a ...
