Here is what I did for a Cisco 7940 w/ SIP 8.12 firmware:
1. Set option 66 on
DHCP server to of trixbox. (Only include IP - don't include tftp:// on the front of option 66)
2. more /tftpboot/OS79XX.TXT
P003-8-12-00
3. more /tftpboot/XMLDefault.cnf.xml

Just a thought here... you could have a script check for the existence of a message in the "inbox" folder for a particular
voicemail box. If a file exists, then copy a .call file over to your outgoing calls folder (/var/spool/asterisk/outgoing) and have it execute the call. Make a file to keep track of the call count and have different .call files (different numbers) copied out ...

At least for trixbox CE
2.6.2.3, it appears that the default settings for logging include debug level logging which will make those /var/log/asterisk/full* files grow pretty quickly. Here is what I would recommend:
# nano /etc/logrotate.conf #Change ‘weekly’ to ‘daily’, change ‘4’ to ‘7’ to keep 7 days of logs
# rm /etc/logrotate.d/asterisk # this is a duplicate of /etc/...
