In general, you don't create different css files for different browsers. The reason you'll often find IE specific files is to overcome IE's tricky and nonstandard css support, but that's not the norm. Writing cross browser compatible css is not simply a matter of creating different css files for different browsers I'm afraid. I would suggest googling around a bit and/or getting a book on css.

Buried in documentation . But it's not the sort of thing you'd know matters unless you knew to ask the question in the first place, so it's a bit of a blind spot to semi-experienced PHP devs.

When you add that line of code to your .info file, what you are doing is adding another script file to the $scripts array variable. This variable is called by drupal themes in the page header. In other words, once you add it to your .info file, that javascript file will be loaded onto every drupal page like so: <script type="text/javascript" src="myscript.js"></script> So no you...

if the export is unreadable it may be corrupt. Create a new export. Hopefully you didn't delete the old database which shouldn't be done until the new site is built and connected to the new database.

Hi,
A "new topic" is available on the forum's discussion list page.
For example if you have a topic called "Recipes" and then click on that Recipes topic you should see a New Topic button.
I've managed to have this display with the Advanced Forum Style called 'boxy_stacked'. This is modified in the admin/settings/advanced-forum url.
Hope this helps...
cheers,
Ben

I think you're looking for blocks: http://drupal.org/handbook/modules/block .
As an alternative method (assuming that you use Panels 3) there is also a checkbox in Panels that will allow you to output the whole page using panels, not just the content part (I think it's called something like "Disable Drupal blocks/regions").

1. You can drag & drop fields order when editing user profile fields.
2. You can "Require e-mail verification when a visitor creates an account" on admin/user/settings

I don't understand the point of this thread nor why it was placed in news and annoucements. Drupal developers use IRC channels to communicate. I'd highly doubt that would change especially to a server not under infrastructure teams control.

Earlier this month, the Executive Office of the President of the United States of America relaunched their website, Whitehouse.gov , using Drupal. This week three members of the White House new media team presented at the Washington, DC Drupal users group. New media director Macon Phillips, deputy director of technology David Cole, and creative director Nik Lo Bue talked about ...

It's great to see all the positive Drupal news lately. Big awards, big sites ( whitehouse.gov!), big conferences (Drupalcon SF), and big releases on the horizon... Looking forward to another great year in 2010.
