Good morning Susan! It has been wet up here in the Chicago burbs too! We usually bring the flower pots back inforth to make them last longer but this year we had a cold snap and it finished them off. I use to get these wonderful cherry blossom branches from this wholesaler in St. Petersburg Florida I used in several weddings, but they closed up. I may be able to get them, but they are not cheep, but look very real right down to the branch. I was a buyer of silks for a large floral company. Congratulations on your engagement! It's difficult to say what "most" brides do in general. In my own experience, most brides I've encountered order centrepieces rather than make them themselves.
