just home after another unsatisfactory gig soundwise. we use a pair of 12" mackie powered speakers (srm350 i think) running through the passive crossover of a SWA1501 sub. the resultant sound is WAY bass heavy - on instruments, mics and mp3s. the trim on the sub doesn't do much, and i can't see that i'm missing any switching option.. Hi - I use Sonar, but went on a course where they had Cubase and was struck with how easy it was in Cubase to click/draw and "draw" the velocity of notes when you're editing a midi part. Am I missing how to do something similar in Sonar, or is this only a Cubase thing? (I can do individual notes in piano-roll, but it's real fiddly)

How do you listen to MP3 music files in your studio, what player software do you use? I used to used an old WinAmp which was simple and great. Lately I downloaded the latest WinAmp but it's very bloated and does so many unnecessary things like indexing my MP3 files library. Windows Media Player is as bad. iTune is the same, so big.
