There are good maps of the BRP and SD (Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive) available (from Park Service) and they will show you the best places to get down ...

I like bubbly for pre-dinner drinking. There are some good Cavas and Proseccos and other sparklings for under $20/bottle. We drink Pinot Noir with the meal. Usually one from Oregon.

lol jsmith - can I add Chester to your list of places beginning with C that aren't anywhere near Harwich? Tom - seriously you could go to Cambridge. a stopover there would be interesting and fun. there are trains to Cambridge from both Liverpool street and King's Cross I think, and from Cambride you can get the train almost to Harwich - the last bit seems to be by bus. or get your cab. ...

How come there were no demonstrations by born again Christian hypocrites with cries "Not in our name" for the sexual abuse of prisoners at Abu Ghraib? How about "Christians" of the Westboro Baptist Church reaching out to families of fallen soldiers instead of picketing the funerals of soldiers? Instead they rush to condemn and support hatred. Religion is the root of all evil, no matter ...

I had an emergency in France and had pretty much the same experience that you had - except that I went to a hospital. It cost me $45 plus about $1,000 in perscriptions - which my US insurance paid for. No way this type of system will come to America, unfortuatly. Stu Dudley
