None lost for me. The only people I'm having a problem with are some right-wingers who keep talking about "Obama's failures," as if (1) this was true, (2) the Republicans would have done any better, and (3) none of the current mess was the responsibility of Bush. They seem to get quite upset when I say, "no thanks," to their Kool-Aid.

The condition under which a predator's population can "explode" while it's prey species declines are relatively limited. Seals are a source of blame for the actions of fishermen in the UK as well and it's completely transparent. If seals are to blame for the decline in stocks, their population would be affected by the crash in cod stocks - it hasn't been so QED seals are not responsible. It's just...

I'll add a couple.
Everything else being equal, a hamburger will always be MUCH better with multiple thin (1/4 inch) patties than one thick one.
Cold cereal MUST be eaten with a large ( soup) spoon. It is impossible to attain the correct milk-to-cereal ratio per bite with a teaspoon. For this reason, I rarely ever eat cereal ...

Looks ok. Similar to many other itineraries that have been critiqued here in the past.
Day 6 looks a bit packed. Maybe skip Nara. Spend the extra day visiting Miyajima, near Hiroshima.
Same for Day 9. Fuji, Hakone, Kamakura (starting from Osaka) is going to be whistle-stop.

Seems like an off requirement. I thought Japan was exempt for the US-Visit finger prints? If they are now, I would guess we'd change that just for them.

I suppose it was inevitable. Although I have 3 trips booked with BA between November and January, I'm probably on the crews' side. Seeing some of the CE and Club World, not to mention economy cuts recently, I think Mr Walsh and his team have become greedy. They are imposing a low cost service on board, but still want the same fares....

Reportedly, there were three gunmen. But I don't know if that was an exchange of gunfire with the single perp, or if it was three perps acting together.
