Helpful links, thanks.
To reinforce your point, I've had complete strangers on Flickr message me to thank me for offering a more thoughtful critique (usually via one of the critique forums). I don't think
I'm the greatest critique in the world by far, and in fact, initially, you have to push through the 'who am I to comment on this image' mentality. Remember, this is Flickr, not ...

:) Thank you Bill. You make some excellent points.
It doesn't have to be my passion, my forte, but it can be a learning block for me. Thank you for the insight. :)

I agree with bill.d that you should post some of your favs. But, as a group, there are many great shots. I know how difficult it is to narrow down the selection to a few. Especially when you have so may to pic from. I recently took 500 pics at a local marathon and it is very hard to manage the
group. Editing, sorting and uploading are a real challenge. Good luck!...

Overall, I'd like to look at the photograph as a whole but, the tone is way too pink. It distracts me from the overall beauty that is the heart of your photograph.
Really, her expression is fantastic. I even love the
leather sofa as her backdrop split with the monotone wall. Also, the off-side crop is lovely - I'm a fan of not centering too many things in a photo, I think it's ...
