Thanks Yo Spiff. I've removed your link to your PCAP since I want to make sure there's no sensitive data in there and this is a public Forum, but also I'd like to discourage posting links to files here. We can always get them offline from you if we need them for a Help case, at which time, we'll send instructions as to where you can send them in (our Get Help system removes attached files).

Hard to say. The person who was deleted is problematic to start with. He has since been deleted again and is now on reincarnation #3 or maybe higher. The exact cause of deletion is between he and flickr but he certainly felt the coincidence of posting a copyright protected image and his deletion was too much of a coincidence. The rules are the rules. As far as Flickr rules are concerned this one is pretty clear. You choose to break them and...

You can add that information into the description for each photo: "I used a ...." Or you can add tags with the name of the camera. (If you used a digital camera, that information is automatically saved into each photo file, and automatically displayed on Flickr, unless your editing software has stripped out that information, or you've chosen to "hide EXIF" on your Flickr account.) (EDIT: You beat me to...

"I've done all of that but the last one, which seems rather extreme to find a button " The theory is that members will look through any relevant advice and any links thrown up before asking about their problem. With the hope that this will reduce the vast number of duplicate questions, because basically, many can't be arsed to search. It doesn't quite work as well as expected ;-) Seems to me that I...

If you are posting photos from a digital camera, you can check your Flickr account settings to see if you have set to show EXIF data; that will (most of the time) list the camera. Otherwise, you can use tags. On each photo page, you'll see "Add a tag" at the right.

..There isn't a batch download function builit into Flickr. There are however, several batch-downloading programs available in the Flickr App Garden and on the web ..Two frequently suggested programs (for Windows) are: FlickrDown : greggman.com/pages/flickrdown.htm ..and Flickr-Edit : sunkencity.org/flickredit ..Programs for Mac are available as well ..You can also search the web for other 3rd-party batch-download applications:...

Recent uploads show 5 or 1 uploads, depending on settings (has this changed?). If someone uploads 78 gazillion photos you will not see them all.

No, there's not really anyway to do this.
The best you can do is set the visibility of the 'original' to you only (in Account Settings>>Who can downlad)

I've used Qoop to backup to DVD. Last I checked (last week) they were still doing it.
Just looked at their site, and they still offer the DVD backups. Did you try it?
qoop.com/flickr to get started.

caronkiefer wrote And is it even an option? From the info that I have read I thought that family and friends would have the option to order. It used to be an option, but with Flickr's new partnership with Snapfish, they can't do that now. Staff have said they are working to get that funcitonality back, but it won't happen before January 2010 at the earliest.

Yes but they get converted to jpeg, so you'd be better doing the conversion yourself so that you have control.
Looks like I'm wrong. I tried to find the FAQ for you and this is what it says Flickr officially supports JPEGs, non- animated GIFs, and PNGs. You can also upload TIFFs and some other file types, but they will automatically be converted to and stored in JPEG format....

Hi sgoralnick,
Thanks for letting us know. I've reset your account, which might take a short while to propagate everywhere, so if you still see problems later, please just let us know. Sorry for the trouble. :/

when you posted your question, one of the links on the page you typed your question into was to the ATT Uverse FAQ on flickr. Please check that section of the FAQ. A link to the FAQ is at the bottom of this page. See if that answers your question.

If your friend has given you download permission click 'All Sizes' above the photo. Then either right click or choose the size you want to download and click download
if there is no 'All Sizes' then you do not have download permission

As this is not a bug but a feature request, can you please post it instead to Flickr Ideas?

Do you have a debit card? Or Paypal account? I believe either of those will work.

I wasn't creating anything though. It was just a screenshot of my favorites page, with all the links to give proper credit. I don't understand how this is a violation of anything.

I suggest you don't put any pictures online that you don't want strangers to see, it's the only way to be safe.

@ngawangchodron- conversely, have you tried the stand alone Uploadr application?
@:: Maja, no that would have no bearing on it.
@Marc-W: The first level support folks at an ISP generally just want to know if you are on the net, like you surmise. You'll probably want to ask to be escalated to a second level technician, one that has some tools for network troubleshooting....

You need to resample the DPI before uploading. 72 DPI is standard for most JPG files out of a camera. My film scanner will scan at 4000 DPI
What purpose are you printing?

Hello sspade_dc,
I've removed the link to your photo as we prefer that users not finger point on the Forum (it tends to cause more problems than it solves).
If you visit that page and use the Report Abuse link at the foot of the page, you can report the matter using Other Concerns and explain the issue.
Thanks.

You're right! And they're providing access to the large size, but *not* linking back to Flickr's photo pages, which (I think) violates the TOS.
Perhaps Flickr staff will take a look at it.
Following your link, I quickly found a few of my own photos on there... All of their links seem to go back to their own website, instead of to Flickr (except the img src, of course)....
