Good vid. Thanks for the link. I have liked all of Collins' vids that I have seen, and I hadn't seen this one before. Favourite line: ...but don't worry, your kids will be zone 5 and I'll have no problem with them... LOL!

When I was looking for the triggers, I made sure the senders were in the states. This is one of the reasons why. The earth is big, things can get lost and damaged.

Rim light?... Jesus... subject/BG separation isn´t a rule :/ there´s enough separation from the BG as it is you just need to fill the side from camera left if you want to make it more even, but as a dramatic shot (concept!!!) it stands out really well, it all depends on the concept for the photo, don´t go adding rim lights just because someone said it is a "must"! :)

You're right but I wanted the 5D MKII :-) What is the opinion on the 5D. Is it still a great camera to have. I've just been set on the MKII I would save £500 if I got lighting over camera, which I suppose I could put to the 5D. mmmmmm I think you're right tho...

>There's no argument that would ever persuade you that "it's just you" is >the correct answer That is no so. I love jazz and can't stand RAP and Hip Hop, but I fully accept that many love it. In that case it is just me - and others like me. Had a little time today to do a mod of my YN460 Flash
I added a 3.5mm miniphone sync plug socket to it
I took some photos of the process, and will add them later.
Here's what it looks like now
I fully tested it with a CTR-301 P receiver and everything works fine
I'm in the process of modding my other (2) YN460's now, Plus I'm also making some 16" 2.5mm ...

The strobist tutorials do seem to focus on pale skin persons imho (lots of cto gel, etc..)
I'd check Joel Grimes site. Good info can be found there...
Mixing skin color in the same scene, is only a problem if you shoot it in jpeg.

I see her as primarily a celebrity photographer. Her images seem to be known more for who they are of, than intrinsic merit. I can think of a few of these - David Bailey springs to mind.

Its amazing that a little thing when you're retouching can turn into a big thing.. I cant say I havent missed something while retouching. ...Luckily, I find it before the final. ( I hope) and I am just doing model port stuff and dont do alot of "resizing". but a big magazine should really pay more attention to the details.
It would sure be nice If Big publications would ...

You would need optical sensors or radio triggers for the SB-80.
I think a better path would be to go for second hand SB-600 or 800's.
I believe you on-camera flash can control these, you can check this yourself - if not you need an SB-800 on camera.
