Multiplicity is a term used for the same subject in the "scene". I think the "official" photography term is "multiple exposure".

Well, there are TWO Sigma models with this zoom range. Earlier this year Sigma released a new improved model to better compete with the Nikkor AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G ED. In addition, it has Sigma's HSM autofocusing system built into the lens for fast and quiet autofocus operation. Here is a link to info on this new model: www.sigmaphoto.com/lenses/lenses_all_details.asp?id=3362&... Popphoto.com tested the new model, and found that it...

To answer the question, yes it's a place to learn, and often that includes learning to search old threads and readily available materials from manufacturers. Best thing you can do for youorself and others here is learn and share all you can, don't worry about coddling the egos of the few who expect to have their question answered (even if it's been answered 40,000 times before) rather than do a search.

"the first response is "search google" that is where I am having the problem..." Because more often than not, your answer CAN be found on google , without having to ask the people here to spend their time and re-type what is already easily and readily available to you from a simple 2 second search. Seriously. I joined a forum the other day, just so I could use the search feature , to learn how to change the...

I would find it hard to believe that a simple search of flickr and google would not already have an answer. I take the stance of trying to be helpful. But when I answer the same question at least a dozen times or give them the pg. ## of the issue covered in the manual. Then it gets a bit tedious. I mean if you are too lazy to look it up yourself in search or the manual. Then why is anyone expecting others to do their leg work. Personal...

I'd recommend the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, very near to the Nikon in image quality, but very far from its price.

I searched multiplicity. Nothing came up and still those links got progressively irrelevant. By the 5th link it was simply catching posts with exposure in it. But thank you for pointing out a knew key word. I mean multiplicity like this [http://www.flickr.com/groups/multiplicity/]

Flourescent bulbs are ok. But I don't like them so much because, either their CRI is bad, or they are both expensive and difficult to get. If you need to go with those make sure the CRI is 90% or better.
I rather use a flash, if just for the light quality.

If your 'common' lens is the 18- 70mm on your D200 then the 24-70mm/f2.8 will be the obvious choice. However, it is not cheap and is much much heavier than the 18-70mm. The other 2 are 14-24mm/f2.8 and 70-200mm/f2.8 VR

labels_30 part of the problem is flickr doesn't have a great way of organizing these message threads. Questions get asked over and over again and when a person doesn't do a search misses the opportunity to read some excellent replies to the same questions.
It does seem rude, but it's a necessary thing. People do put some great effort in answering so all those kinds of replies is ...

Ya but I still am going to call every store in my city till one turns up!
Run every yellow light to get to the store and pick one up as fast as I can...
I hope a D4 is the same ISO range with the 24mp quality, that would be bad ass.

yeah it think u r right..it is same as D40, D60..if u want compact body and have no problem to buy more expensive AF-I or AF-S lens, then go for D5000. If u want to use your 50mm with aufofocus, buy D90 (if u have enough budget of course).. =)

I'm paying 1520 $ for the D90 kit lens ( 18-105 ), a Tamron 70-300 and a 50 mm / 1.8 .

Correct, the warranty is for "original purchaser" only from an authorized Nikon seller.

Allied to the very shallow depth of field, there looks like there might be a small amount of camera shake (most noticeable around the light in the bottom right corner) so this will also affect the sharpness. The 50mm is a sharp lense for the price so I think the sharpness issues are picture specific rather then the lens. I find f2.2. okay and only really noticeable loss of sharpness ...

D90's, I hear, tend to be 1,000 or so, correct? That seems way too expensive in my opinion.
Are the Olympus series good, too?

Is the 17-35mm the Nikkor 2.8 or the Tamron? If Nikkor, 100% keep that. If not, Keep the 16-85mm
Keep the 50mm 1.8 and 80-200mm AF-S.
