Life's not fair. Maciej got Publication in the post, and I got a letter from the bailiffs! Then again, if Maciej likes it, I want one. I may have to live on bread and jam till next year, but I'll put in an order as soon as I've dealt with these overdue bills...

OK here's a minireview. Not sure it's what you're looking for, but I hope it gives at least a little feel for the work. It’s laid out as a composition book containing apparently pasted in color photographs and handwritten narrative and notes (often with arrows pointing into the images). There are by my count 45 pages counting the front cover, which has something like Stationary Copybook in Georgian printed on it and then the...

So we get a sort of reflection of the photographer back off the subject, allowing the viewer to 'see' the photographer. . . kind of. That makes sense. Is Friedlander's shadow working in a similar way, or is that a different thing entirely? cheers, Jon

First of all, wow: insig.ht/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/MichaelJulius07.jpg Secondly, I can honestly say this has made me think twice about my photography. I work in the finance industry, and I never imagined that the few photos I take here at work could amount to anything worth viewing. I mean, its a boring bank right? But seeing the work of others like Hin and Pilson is inspiring. I think I might bring out the camera more often while...

I wonder what it takes to become a mod on flickr? You start a group. Then you get to admin it. Or a current admin can make you an admin of an existing group. It's pretty straightforward. I'd check the Groups FAQ for more information. What's HDR? Well, besides high-dynamic-range. Also, awesome photos! Thanks for sharing.

HDR is the future for untalented hacks who need tricks to make their work somehow stand out. Unfortunately, the effect is vomit inducing and lets face it, anyone who makes HDRs is in the 2 digit IQ range.
Where does that leave you, apart from making people vomit? Oh, and it takes a real coward to come in here under an anonymous nickname.
But lets put this to the test. Point ...

Any recommendations on who to use for printing? Mostly interested in final product quality and ease of use. Price is a consideration too, but not as much as the other two.

I don't have much of substance to say, but have you seen Dark Days? It's a very good documentary movie about the many people who live under NYC. These "mole people" as they were called by this guy.

Yes, it is a proper quality printed publication. Not sure of too many other details at the moment I'm afraid apart from the fact I'm sure it will be very good.

After I write this, I am going to have to follow my own advice, resist the temptation of coming back to check on it, you know, the addiction we all face now:
Dealing with the daily assault of photography can be easily taken care of, simply limit your time on the internet.
