I'd be more worried if you left your camera and/or film in a hot car during the day in summer, that would certainly cause some problems. If it's colder, that's fine. I store my film in the fridge, and a lot of professional photographers store film in freezers, which makes it stay fresh longer.

Yeah the flash works perfectly fine with the 35mm back and its the flash that came with the Diana. For some reason it won't work with the instant back, which means I can't use the color gels :[

Toxic-Tofu, I would check with the lomo people as recently things that are out of stock do come off of the website altogether, a few weeks ago 1 of the diana lens's was absent from the store when it was out of stock. Other options, you may want to check amazon, adorama, and other places that carry the diana camera's to see if they carry that adapter.

GV- they were dark "blank". The woman at walgreens said there were no pictures on them When i hold the camera up to a light and click the shutter I see a tiny tiny bit of light blink very quickly and then disappear immediately no matter how long I hold down the shutter with it set to "N". When it's on "B" the light remains when I hold the shutter down I think this is normal? DVE- I...

Let me expand a little more on that. Sometimes when I want develop only, I go here: www.photolabcostamesa.com/ They develop my 120 for $4.99 and I usually get it in under an hour. When I feel lazy and don't feel like scanning my negatives, I just go to Samy's in Santa Ana: www.samys.com/index/page/static/subpage/store_locations There, I get my roll developed for $5.99 and add $5 to get it scanned to a dvd. Only problem is they send...

no just the noise and the red light, i think a connection is lose, not as tight as it should be, hence the flickery, weak light coming from the bulb.

ugh welcome to lomo. it took me a few rolls before i realized i wasn't adjusting the meter settings on the lens. so you need to adjust for the distance of your subject. and make sure you're not on the bulb setting also... i've had my diana for over a year now and i still struggle with things like framing... if i try to take a portrait usually the top half of the face is cut off and ...

Some people store film in freezers, so I think you'll be OK.

First thing.. don't freak out! Everything's fine!
You'll get some vignetting and possibly some frames over lap some.
That's pretty much it.
Whew! Crazy, I know!

So you're supposed to really use some violence? I've tried the hardest I was able to.. but then I heard a little "crack" and got scared I might break something.

Hi there Meg,
Try setting your D60's dial to "M" Manual mode. It should let you shoot after that. It *may* work on "A" Aperture Priority mode as well.
Give it a shot and let us know.
Happy shooting!

Are you negatives dark "blank" or light "blank".
They are negatives, so dark blank means they got too much light. Light blank means they didn't get enough. The pictures you link to look underexposed to me.
With the back of the camera off, hold it up to a bright light and operate the shutter. What do you see?

Yes. One of the masks is for square format with sprocket holes . The sprocket holes are in the square. The spacing from center of picture to center of picture is the same as for a standard frame, so you end up with big spaces between them. Personally I don't see the point of shooting anything other than panorama with sprocket holes. You can always crop out the sprocket holes if ...
