I see. Perhaps making a target of getting your face in the water in order to perfect breast-stroke technique without hurting your neck would give you a focus? Breast stroke is very serene and calming while still getting the endorphins out.

Island - the rear jockeys are really there for adding tension to the chain and making sure it doesn't fall off. The number of teeth won't affect gearing but as long as the teeth on the jockey engage with the chain it will be fine - you might be better off changing both jockey wheels? (Or buying a new rear mech....) I'm sure someone technically competent will appear shortly. Slowboy's quite good ...

Too many posts to read back! I'm in for this but haven't done any specific training as yet. Just trained for and completed the monster duathlon last weekend so had my first longer distance run today. 15 miles on a hilly off road course and feel fine and dandy. Will increase to 18 on road next weekend and see how that goes. Are you all really fast?
