QUOTE (amfy @ Nov 20 2009, 02:56 PM) I'm amazed at the extent to which your response completely misses the point of mine! As yours did mine. I made that first post. It had the point I meant for it, as following posts make clear. My answer to you was simply an explanation for the why, which you had queried. QUOTE (Okky @ Nov 20 2009, 02:23 PM) Zep + Dave grohl?? I suspect if it Led Zep it will be with Jason Bonham - he was rehearsing with them during the 'we're looking for a singer' phase last year, and his schedule looks blank at present for June. For those hoping like me it is Zep, remember this:? http://www.efestivals.co.uk/news/08/080910b.shtml

wasn't it the opposite of that? i thought they asked to play and asked for a ridiculous fee also? they don't seem like the kind of band to do much for free they have become quite the money grabbers in recent years, i loved this band before they cleaned up kicked the drugs and totally went to shit! they are just rock and roll pantomime these days and performance by numbers as they proved with their god awful headline set at...

They've played many times Somewhen within the last ten years they rather publicly asked to play again, and got back a public answer that essentially said "no, you're always a bit shit". And having seen them several times at Glasto, they always have been a bit shit. There's more fun to be had listening to their recordings.

Anyone been on one before at Glasters? Whats the best route to include the best boozers? Could we have a themed effort? Gotta be a few regulars here keen to see as many boozers as possible before distractions on the Fri?

I have had the pleasure of seeing them live 3 times, for all three albums. The first one was at Bristol Academy (I think!), the second was at Cardiff Arena (With British Sea Power) and the last one was at the Colston Hall (Bristol). They were amazing all three times. The Colston hall show was the best, the lighting was great and it was all really intimate (If you been to Colston hall...you ...

It's long been a licence requirement for Glastonbury to have cameras. Mostly I think they're used for monitoring crowd movements, so that if there's a congestion issue action can be taken to divert people away from that issue. On the crime side I suspect that about as much use as the CCTV cameras on so many of our streets - not a lot.

Huzzah!! New footy thread!! Pleased with our start - the first month or so has given us some pretty kind fixtures, and our run in doesn't look too bad either. Oh, and we've signed Marcus Hanhemann from Reading on a 12-month deal. So much news in one day!

^ I don't call that much of an apology to be honest. Even in a statement reversing her position, she still manages to call the game a joke. One gets the feeling she's only doing it because her book publisher has advised her to due to the shit slinging on her amazon book page.
