Michael Jackson wins 4 at AMAs; Swift top artist LOS ANGELES Michael Jackson was made history by winning four American Music Awards on Sunday night, but he couldn't beat Taylor Swift as the year's favorite artist and the evening's top winner. The 19-year-old took the evening's top award, giving Jackson his only loss of the night, and five trophies in all. The victories came during a performance-filled show that closed...

QUOTE (kappy22 @ Nov 29 2009, 03:16 AM) It's sad that so many men can't handle fame and fortune without becoming douche bags. Ain't that the truth. There's plenty of women out there who are the same though too. This post has been edited by Hihomumio : Today, 04:55 AM

QUOTE (colorine @ Nov 29 2009, 12:24 PM) I read the first book because I was curious about the popularity and I used to love Anne Rice vampire books. I found it creepy how Edward was always watching Bella and stalking her. There was nothing romantic about their relationship and I found it troubling that young girls were reading this. totally agree. its not subtle. And in the book this is represented as utterly romantic that...

I didn't think Irina should have won..her clothes seemed very ugly and the hats looked like helmets but a lot of time "high couture" fashion is that way...not really things normal, average shoppers would buy. Carol Hannah had beautiful clothes and seemed very marketable that is why I was so disapointed in Irina winning. A lot of times they pick the avant guard to win- I remember I didn't really like Jay's...

QUOTE (Hihomumio @ Nov 27 2009, 05:47 PM) However this information came out, I am mad as hell that it appears once again that we have been manipulated almost into a frenzy about the global warming crap!! I really hope that any action that was to be taken by the US or any other country at the Copenhagen summit comes to a screeching halt until this business is investigated thoroughly. I would have thought that...

I think his unusual looks fit the role really well. The only problem I have watching the movies is I can't understand what the guys see in the lead actress. She's so so . . . . . blah.

Climate-gate gets worse Here is part of an editorial at the Washington Times: The story has gotten worse since the global-cooling cover-up was exposed through a treasure trove of leaked e-mails a week ago. The Climatic Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia has been incredibly influential in the global-warming debate. The CRU claims the world's largest temperature data set, and its research and mathematical models form the...

QUOTE (mostlylurker @ Nov 27 2009, 09:29 PM) i just can't really get into the series. i don't think its a healthy story and writing is mediocre. Rob Pattinson is pretty though. No argument. I think SM should be in therapy for the way she gives Jake his "happy ending." This post has been edited by tyler : Today, 08:47 AM

Totally agree. As much as I'd want to beat any man who cheated on me, I don't think it's right for any man OR woman to physically assault their partner, even if provoked.

I like Zev, but that is probably because my daughter has Asperger's, so I have a soft spot for him for that reason. He was the one that noted that the poker player chicks did NOT exude the warm, caring attitude of "counselors to homeless kids." Good observation. And those two look like they are being set up to be the villains of the season. Probably rightfully so. I cannot stand Miss ...

I just can't for the life of me buy this relationship nor do I understand why people who actually have talent feel the need for the arrangement. If they're best friends hanging out - cool. It wouldn't be much of a surprise to hear a woman would rather hang out with a gay guy then some of the other females in Hollywood. Just stop trying to sell it as love, folks, okay?...

QUOTE (basal2 @ Apr 27 2009, 06:39 PM) Mel Gibson's apology for his anti-Jewish, drunken rant was several paragraphs long. Here is a good part: "The tenets of what I profess to believe necessitate that I exercise charity and tolerance as a way of life. Every human being is Gods child, and if I wish to honour my God I have to honour his children. But please know from my heart that...

Gerard Butler Happy To Bare Butt Gerard Butler loves showing his butt on screen. The 39-year-old actor - who flashes his flesh in new movie 'Law Abiding Citizen' - has no problem with stripping off for film roles, adding he thinks most cinema-goers like to see some nakedness. He told US TV show 'Extra': "It's always nice to show a bit of butt. I don't think it was gratuitous here. I...

ALL FORGIVEN? Page Six March 28, 2008 -- TOM Cruise and Sumner Redstone are settling their differences and getting ready to work together again.
