305/70/16 on stock 6.5" rims
Published (2009-07-07 23:53:00)
They'll work fine, I had my 39.5x13.5's on stock 7" wheels for a while. That's an inch wider tire than you're getting, on a wheel only 1/2 inch wider than yours. Oh, and white letters in, looks much cleaner with the blackwall out.

If you're not gonna be offroading or driving this truck hard on the street, the stock axles should hold up. if you were planning on occasionally offroading i'd advise against it. It might not last too long. Quote: Originally Posted by BigRed05 In about 2 weeks I will post my k5 I am redoing with 4"s and 42s I got to see that

so humor me and give me some suggested head/cam/piston combos that would make this possible with my 383. i say 400 cause i know thats about the limit of the injection system on my L31 and id like to keep that. i have a volant intake and will have long tube headers. i still want to keep my very strong low end torque too.

Yep here it goes again. Lets try to keep this technical and useful. So if your vortec 350 z71 beat your buddies 01 5.3, Keep it to yourself. I dont care and I'm sure no one else does. Btw dont even mention tbi. The reason for this thread is that I blew up my l31 again. Yes thats again. So after the 2nd time I'm looking for an upgrade. After a little bit of basic pricing I think a 5.7 ...

4X4 vs Z71 - 74 new posts

I always understood that Z71 package was 4x4 plus extras (skid plats, shocks...) and the 4x4 was just the drive train? I was at the Dealer yesterday just looking and the sales guy told me that 4X4 with the nice sicker was better then my z71. It was more ready for off road and would handle situations better? But z71 and 4x4 have the same drive train?

Yes I know people (including me) have as questions about lift lots of times but I am pretty sure I have narrowed it down to certain kits for my lift and I have some questions which might make my purchase easier for me.. I was thinking about the RC Non-Torison Drop kit plus a 3" body lift.. I can get it for $1395cdn (he says the kit usally sells for $1195 american) and $650cdn for body lift. ...

I got rid of the stock air box on my '88 the other day. AutoZone had 14" Edelbrock open element air cleaners in stock so I picked one up and did a test fit. Everything fit after I replaced the mounting gaskets for the stock air filter and spacer. I drove it for a day and was impressed. Seat of the pants dyno noticed a difference as well as a difference in sound. After some research, I found a ...
