Please kindly explain to me what is FON wifi is all about its advantage and disadvantage. Where to buy in Japan? I live in Ichikawa how can i know if there are fon sites near my place. Is it going to be money-saver than my usual internet subscription. So ideally how much will it cost me?

Hello! I have already registered fonera+. The router started to break my wireless connection (I get disconnected, keep seeing the MyPlace & FON_AP spots, but I cant get connected to anyone of the both). So... I rebooted the fonera couple times, even used the reset button on the bottom. Now the fonera keeps telling me "Click here to register your La Fonera+" on the status page. But the fonera is already registered....

i have now moved away after 3 yrs from fon, they are useless and do not listern to their customers. I now have a nice AP / router that supports bridging from Edimax..

Of cause the Fonera as a bridge neccesary! Many people already have a wired net and want an access point. That is the most important function of all! I can't recommend a Fonera to somebode without possibillity to use as a bridge!

it works on my ubuntu BUT it only worked on torrents listed on torrenttrackers to have "seeds"... if you are trying to download something which nobody was offering anymore you can wait on Godot untill this one person that has it still shared connects to the internet while your mac is running I have more success with Edonkey networks to get old content others say rapidshare is better... btw you...
