I hope you have luck on this one. I had my daughter and husband as AU's on my Gold card. The card was compromised, and I got a replacement card, so we all had two cards reporting. They didn't need the cards, so I took them off as AU's. But both still have 2 AmEx accounts reporting, dropping their AAoA. AmEx says that we would have to pull (= $$$) their Experian reports and give AmEx the report numbers so that they could fix...

it always depends upon the file, and the reasoning. Depositing a check into the worng account is fairly easy to prove and then UW could easily see what happened by looking at bank statements. Again, with a strong file it is not big deal as long as there is no history of it. With a weaker file it is another story. If the UW is sitting with the file and is up in the air on whether to say yes or no to it, and a overdraft/nsf pops up...

Hi Duke...did you get your true FICO scores? When you say "B+" territory, it made me wonder if you are looking at true FICOs. If you are, great. Where did you get your scores? As to the zero balance on credit cards...there seems to be an opinion that it varies by FICO provider. Apparently EQ likes to see a small balance, but TU doesn't mind the zero balance. If you have 3 cards,...

Banks don't have members (except those like USAA). They have shareholders. They don't pass savings onto customers, they pass it on to shareholders. The only reason a bank reduces rates is to stay competitive or to become more competitive (promos). This is the distinguishing factor between not-for-profit CU's and private/public banks....not-for-profit pass along to "members" in the ...

Hi tray... AmEx reports regularly...but their numbers are almost a month behind. My new statement is just now cutting, and a few days ago my last month's balance was reported. Now that I've paid down to zero, I will have to wait another month until they report again. AmEx will be reporting one cycle behind most of your other credit cards.

For that type of thing you are going to have to look locally. For the most part, anyone giving out any kind of home assistance nationally is focusing on preventing foreclosures, not helping buyers. If there are no local programs I have no clue as to where to go. The other issue is that if you have no money involved, I am assuming you also have no reserves. Most of these programs will...

Hi, that is a total lie, I do not have the visa but I have their store card and last month I had to call them as they had not updated on my credit reports to all 3 credit bureaus since August for me also, and I never had any issues always reported on time since I opened up this account in March of this year, so I spoke with a representative last month to correct this situation and EX and...

I think you're seeing the effect of the Credit CARD Act. This new law stipulates that CC issuers must mail their statement 21 days before the due date, not 14 days as was previously allowed. I noticed in August, when the new law went into effect, that the due date for my B of A card went from around the 12-15th to the 16th-20th of the month. The statement closing dates haven't ...
