We're doing it, but it is like herding cats. LOL! What is so funny is that these guys will start horsing around while doing their work and then wander off on some verbal tangent ---AND GET ME INVOLVED. Someone around here needs to keep some order. Oh, that would be my job. Hey, I even let them walk to Fat Cat bakery and pick up some desserts. I got some housework done while they were gone. Doesn't that count for something? It takes...

Okay doke, well I never got dinner out of the freezer, which turned out to be a good thing. We took my SIL lunch and hung out and went to the 325 showing. Bolt was nearly 2 hours so it was nearly 530 when we got back to her house. The palm situation is annoying. They'll fix the silly thing for 40 bucks less then they are offering us a refurbished one. If I take the refurbished one I can have it in 3-5 days. If I have them fix it, then...

I wanted to reiterate what Christine said about the Psalms. When I went through a horrid period in my marriage and had so many awful thoughts floating around in my head, it was helpful to find THOSE VERY THOUGHTS in the BIBLE of all places! I knew a lot of them were there and I knew the Bible was filled with HUMANS. But, to have the psalmist write what was on my heart and mind... Oh, it was like a balm.

Hope you're feeling better soon, Michelle! Lunch is done and cleaned up and the kitchen is looking pretty good! Meat is defrosting for dinner tonight. Now it's on to the front hall. Ugh. It has become a major dumping ground lately.

At different times in my life I've attended Methodist, Christian (independent), Lutheran, Wesleyan, charismatic, nondenominational, and now EFCA (Evangelical Free), which isn't a denomination per se but an association--and that's not including all the others that I've worshiped in as a visitor. But I've still only been part of one Church body that whole time, as Merrilee previously mentioned. I want my children to have...

We are starting the new year with Another Celebrated Dancing Bear. I've set some fun things out on our school table to get us started (ballet videos and books, ballet barre, nesting dolls, etc). I can't wait to get back!

I had this rolling around in my head in the last few months. And I thought I'd come on here for some wisdom from people in many different churches, to hear your peace and or concerns. I talked with someone in my own church and got some good wisdom, but thought I'd venture out and see what other tidbits of wisdom I might glean. Let me first start with my perspective. I grew up in the church my...

My 9.5yo dd dawdles ~ Argh! She takes forever to unload the dishwasher. I think that she should be able to unload the dishwasher in 10 minutes. I hate to put her on a timer; but, I'm leaning in that direction. Is 10 minutes reasonable??? (I can do it in 10 min. or less and I don't have reason to believe that she can't.)

I thought I would bring to your attention a new feature on Google maps that you may not know about. They now have what they call " Street View". This was a feature that was only available for commercial and government properties. But now anyone can use this. How it works: simply enter your address in Google maps and when the ariel view comes up, click the icon of the little orange man right ...

Happy Tuesday! I am on day eight of the frugal freezer meals, and I have quite a bit of hamburger and ground pork still, so meatloaf it is! Along with baked potatoes, peas and peanut butter cookies for dessert. What is cooking at your house?

I seen that someone was doing a lesson on George Washington Carver this week, but don't remember where I seen it. Was it on FIAR boards?? DS was sick from about the end of December (just after Christmas) until this past Sunday. Yesterday was MAJOR cleaning time ...

I thought I'd gently put this out there for those wanting to do this to be thinking and praying about your word for 2009. What might be interesting is when you have your word, to do a word study on it. Maybe choose a scripture verse or passage that goes along with what you are focusing on for the next year. You don't need to share it, just thought it might be an encouragement. For ...

Let's be steadfast in finishing our task for the day. Choose an item that needs doing and tell us when you finish it!
