It looks like 2010 is shaping up to be an interesting year for laptop computers, but in some ways, it's just a stopgap until even bigger changes coming in 2011 in the mobile space. Read "2010 Laptop Roadmaps for AMD and Intel Analyzed"...

DSL is designed to run on older hardware and is a decent, compact distro that is fairly easy for those not familiar with Linux. It's full name is Damn Small Linux and it has been around for several years. Distrowatch.com could steer you to a download site.

soyea: "can we get by on the force we have again yes so why should I hire anyone" & " would we have hired yes because it would have been better for all of us." What business sense would it make to hire when you can get the job done with the personnel you have? These two statements make no sense. It would be a bad business decision by anyone's standards. I have no idea how your last sentence in the post adds...

For what it's worth, I have gotten 5.9 ratings from both IDE and SATA 7200 rpm drives. It could be the MS rating is faulty. On a related note. Upgrading machines from Vista SP2 to Win 7 yielded a 0.1 point increase. i.e. 4.9 Vista -> 5.0 Win 7. I know what I know, and I don't know what I don't know. You used the setup following the bios screen to create the raid 0 array? If so, during the creation of the array you were able to create 2 different volumes from the array? I've set up many arrays and I've only been able to create the array during the setup following the bios screen and then create different volumes during the installation of the os. I asked my question on the Firefox support page but have not received an answer so -- My OS is Windows XP sp3 and I have Firefox 3.5.5 on my system. It has worked very well since I downloaded and installed it. I let a friend check her e-mail on my computer and since then have not been able to open Firefox. I uninstalled Firefox then reinstalled it and still couldn't open it. I have System Mechanic 6 installed and with...

Jezzee, I can’t just buy them from itunes cause there areabout 13 series with 13-14 episode each series, so too much money spent onthem. I could try torrent but I don’t want to break the law, so I was thinkingthat there is a legal way to download them from that site.

Microsoft has children on a playground make up the marketing rules for their products while making up other games to play. I cannot speak to XP MCE as I skipped that generation, but on Vista the theory is that there is no Windows 7 Basic, hence no upgrade. Take heart though, depending on how Win 7 sales hold up, Microsoft may change it's mind. I have yet to upgrade from Vista, but when I do ...

I have only been alive for 47 years, but so far, Obama has been the best president we have ever had. Whether you agree with his politics or not, you have to admit he has done what he claimed he would do during the campaign. This scares the hell out of all the old guard "lip service" politicians. "You mean we are actually going to have to do what we promise now?" It also proves that years of ...
